Speakers (top left) Ps Avi Mizrachi from Israel, pictured here with his wife Chaya. They spoke at our conference in Cairns last year. Living in Israel & speaking to us from the USA, Ps Avi Mizrachi founded Adonai Roi congregation & Dugit Outreach ministries based in Tel Aviv with his wife Chaya. Since Oct 7, they have been supporting families in northern Israel displaced by the fighting, providing humanitarian aid. Avi is a sought-after international conference speaker. https://dugit.org/

(top right) Ps Milo Siilata, a Samoan New Zealander, has been the coordinator for over 2 decades of a prayer movement called All Pacific Arise formerly APPA. They love Israel & work with Jews in Israel for the Welcome the King of Glory events. Milo and his team have encouraged the governments of Pacific nations to make covenants with the nation of Israel.

He is an active member of the Melbourne Jewish Community and the proud grandson of Holocaust survivors. He is a Board Member and Antisemitism Education and Strategies Officer with the Australian Jewish Association and a registered counsellor.

Norman is an artist painting under his Aboriginal name of Munganbana (Mountain Water). We are happy to say that the painting in the background has been secured by a Jewish man in Sydney who is donating it to the Central Synagogue in Bondi, the largest synagogue in the southern hemisphere at which we spoke last year. The boomerang Norman made will be donated to the Israel Ambassador to Australia Amir Maimon who we greatly appreciate.

He and Sarah will also share personally how the Lord has led them in their marriage and minister physical and emotional healing. These calls are advancing at great pace since October 7. Indigenous Friends of Israel formed in July 2017 because of concerns over Australia’s policy towards Israel. Since then we have gone international as antisemitism is international and isan ancient hatred. The forces standing against Israel also oppose Western and/or Judeo-Christian values which have helped us achieve a society with social cohesion and the rule of law.

Please help us take a stand against antisemitism, and for a community where all are valued and safe.  There are many opportunities to use your passion, gifting and skills as a volunteer whether you are a person of faith or not.  United we stand and divided we fall. Indigenous Friends of Israel co-founders Norman and Barbara Miller have applauded Tuesday night’s Sky News documentary Never Again: The Fight Against Antisemitism hosted by former federal treasurer Josh Frydenberg. The Millers say, “The Never Again documentary was a defining moment for Australia when a number of prominent Australian leaders called out the alarming rise of antisemitism in Australia.”

“These included former Prime Ministers John Howard and Julia Gillard, the current Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Opposition Leader, Peter Dutton, a former Governor-General, Sir Peter Cosgrove, Denis Richardson, the former Director-General of Security for Australia, Catholic Archbishop Peter Comensoli and former Aboriginal ALP senator and Olympian Nova Peris.

“What is happening on our streets and in our universities with pro-Hamas protests is unAustralian and we need social cohesion, not division. We don’t want ethnic or religious conflicts from overseas threatening the multicultural fabric of our nation.

“As a network of Indigenous Australians, we support the view that the Jewish people are Indigenous to Israel, having had a presence of 4,000 years there and that the rebirth of the state of Israel in 1948 was a matter of decolonization not occupation. Reconciliation Week 27 May – June 3

Reconciliation Australia website admits that this came from a Christian initiative:

‘National Reconciliation Week (NRW) started as the Week of Prayer for Reconciliation in 1993 (the International Year of the World’s Indigenous Peoples) and was supported by Australia’s major faith communities.

In 1996, the Council for Aboriginal Reconciliation launched Australia’s first National Reconciliation Week. (Norman and Barbara attended the National Reconciliation Convention in Melbourne.)

In 2001, Reconciliation Australia was established to continue to provide national leadership on reconciliation.

In the same year, approximately 300,000 people walked across Sydney Harbour Bridge as part of National Reconciliation Week and subsequently across bridges in cities and towns to show their support for reconciliation.

Today, National Reconciliation Week is celebrated in workplaces, schools, and early learning services, community organisations and groups, and by individuals Australia-wide.”

26 May – National Sorry Day, officially the National Day of Healing, is an event held annually commemorating the Stolen Generations or children removed from their families
27 May – The successful 1967 referendum giving Indigenous people the right to be counted in the census and the federal government to make legislation for them.

On the eve of the 76th anniversary of the proclamation of the state of Israel on 14 May 1948, Australia has betrayed the only democracy in the Middle East at the recent United Nations vote on Palestine.

On Israel’s Day of Independence or National Day, it will be asking if it has any allies in the world. Prime Minister Netanyahu has said he will go it alone if he has to so that more October 7s, promised by Hamas, will not occur and Israel can survive as a nation as it faces the existential threat from Iran and its proxies. SEE MORE ON CANBERRA DECLARATION

VISION OF A RUDDER-LIKE EVENT TO TURN THE SHIP OF OUR NATION AROUND

While praying for Australia before our church service on Saturday 27/4/24, I remembered a word the Lord had given me for an Australia Day prayer conference we held in Canberra before Covid.  In it, I had a vision of a rudder that could turn around the ship of our nation back to Judeo-Christian values. A rudder is small but it can turn a big ship around. So I asked the Lord, what is the rudder we need now to turn our nation around and I was surprised to be guided in prayer that the rudder is the alleged stabbing of the Assyrian Bishop recently by a boy charged with terrorism who had shouted allahu akbar as he did it with the bishop forgiving him

On reflection, two changes occurred. One was that police and ASIO who had not acted when Jews were assaulted by Muslims, when Islamic hate preachers preached death to Jews and street protestors shouted kill the Jews etc, acted quickly this time.  They found a terror network of teenagers, arresting them on the eve of Anzac Day to avert a terror attack. This may have been because a Christian Arab was attacked rather than a Jew and/or the crowds that would be out for Anzac Day. With about 2,000 rioters gathering outside the church after the livestreamed alleged stabbing, police were injured and police cars damaged because police protected the perpetrator. They were likely concerned re Arab on Arab violence. 

Secondly this bishop, Mar Mari Emmanuel, already reportedly had 120,000 followers before the alleged attempted murder but now his profile is greatly increased and he is someone who is not frightened to stand up for biblical values and challenge Islam. He has visited Gaza in the past and may be critical of Israel. However, I will be praying the Lord uses him to speak fearlessly for Judeo-Christian values.

In my prayer, I also saw a stone being dropped in a pool and the ripples going out from it and felt it was healing waves so I pray that the Lord will heal our nation from the division and lack of social cohesion that has beset it and bring revival.

However, we have another development this morning in that messages on signal indicate that, a few days after the alleged stabbing of the bishop, the teens said that their next target would be Jews. This has obviously alarmed the Jewish community along with anti-Israel camps being set up at Sydney and Melbourne universities and 5-year-olds being taught by their teacher to chant “intifada” and “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free”, a genocidal call to wipe Israel and Jewish people off the map. The call to prayer is urgent so that God would turn our nation around to be a sheep nation not a goat nation (Matt 25).

“While Surafend is a little-known part of our ANZAC history, I went there twice in 2010 and 2017, met locals and researched the history,” said author, historian and pastor Barbara Miller. “For the pro-Palestinian lobby of Australian teachers to denigrate the ANZAC legacy by rewriting it emphasizing Surafend, tying it erroneously to the Israel-Gaza war and belittling the sacrifice of so many Australian soldiers and their families on the eve of ANZAC Day is disgusting.”

They should at least get their facts right.

“Their 40-page booklet titled Teaching for Palestine: Challenging Anzac Day will ignore teaching resources from the Australian War Memorial though it is aligned with the national curriculum. The teachers are reportedly concerned with imperialistic and militaristic views.

“What happened at Surafend? The war was over and the ANZACs were camped near the Bedouin village of Surfend on 10 December 1918. The troops were tired of the British protecting the Arabs who had a long record of thieving and other harassment. SEE MORE

We Stand Up For Israel: Indigenous Friends of Israel by Munganbana Norman Miller

The star of David is the centre of this painting just as Jerusalem is the centre of the world (Ezekiel 5:5). The star of David is also on Israel’s flag. It is surrounded by yellow ochre representing G-d’s glory and His calling for the Jewish people to be a light to the nations. The Magen David is encircled by blue and white dots representing Israel.

The dots that continue to circle it reflect the yellow and red ochres of the earth and of the sun. They also represent sunrises and sunsets. This speaks of the heavens touching the earth. The purple dots represent royalty as Jerusalem will be Messiah’s throne. The stars in the sky represent the stars of the southern cross over Australia and in its flag.

The dots also represent the Indigenous Friends of Israel as the Indigenous people of the earth surround, protect, and support her.

The dove of peace, also representing the spirit of G-d, alights over the star of David. As Psalm 85:10-11 (NLT) says: Unfailing love and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed. Truth springs up from the earth, and righteousness smiles down from heaven.

May Australia shine like the stars in heaven to reflect God’s glory and His love for Israel (Daniel 12:3)

Never Again is Now. We stand against antisemitism. And never again will Israel be uprooted from the land G-d has given them. (Amos 9:11-15)

Purim Reversal to Hamas and the Amalek Spirit by Ps Barbara Miller 23.3.24

Israel today is fighting a war for its survival just like Jewish people were threatened with annihilation during the time of Esther which we now commemorate at the Feast of Purim. Three times in history the Jewish people have been threatened with or experienced annihilation or genocide with forces starting with H (1) Haman (2) Hitler and (3) Hamas which means violence.

The Amalek spirit is behind it. Today we hear “From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free” which does not refer to Gaza but refers to the whole of Israel, the land God promised to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob or Israel. It goes back to the ancient hatred and sibling rivalry of Esau towards his twin Jacob.

God pronounced judgement on the Amalekites because they attacked the weakest of the Hebrews as they crossed over from Egypt to the Promised Land. They attacked from behind the sick, elderly etc. (sounds like Oct 7)

The story of the bible book of Esther is how Haman tricked the king into signing a decree to kill all the Jews in the kingdom of Persia which was most of the known world at that time.

But God was about to do a divine reversal of Haman’s plans. It is said that if King Saul had killed King Agag when instructed to, the Amalekites would not have produced Haman with his genocidal plan against the Jews. Though Samuel killed him one day later, he was able to have a descendant.

Mordecai, a Jew, and his niece Esther were raised up by God in His plan of saving the Jews from extermination. Amazingly, Mordecai was a descendant of Kish, the Benjamite who was the father of King Saul. Prophetic justice was served.

This gives us another interesting parallel. Every year, the chapter, “Remember what Amalek did unto thee” (Deut. 25:17-19), is read in the synagogue on the Sabbath preceding Purim, and the story of Saul and Agag in 1 Samuel 15 is read as the Haftarah or reading from the prophets.

I see parallels with Netanyahu being urged not to fight in Rafah to finish off Hamas because of the great loss of civilian life & the humanitarian crisis. While Hamas must bear responsibility for using civilians as human shields, using hospitals and schools, and stealing food and aid money and the numbers are inflated, Israel is losing the support of its main ally the US.

Saul did not want to destroy the King of the Amalekites and somehow his progeny lived on to almost be successful in totally wiping out the Jews worldwide in the time of Esther. Netanyahu is saying that Israel cannot live in security because,unless they defeat Hamas, Hamas has promised many more Oct 7’s.

I believe God is declaring a divine reversal in this time of favour for His people. We know that the hatred of Jews is because they were chosen by God to bring his plan of redemption to mankind who are rebellious to God and are jealous of His chosen people.

Listen to the video to get more. Have you been called into your situation for such a time as this like Esther? Do you need to write a decree to reverse an evil decree? (Esther 8:8). Remember that prayer and fasting brought a breakthrough.
