Passover with Cairns Jewish Community 27.3.21
Passover message by Ps Barbara Miller on 27.3.21 at our service before joining the Jewish community. We have been celebrating Passover (Pesach) for nearly 25 years now. Last year we hosted the Passover Service or Pesach Seder by zoom and many joined us from around Australia. Please excuse the background noise made by our fans.

VISION BY BARBARA 18.3.21 AT GAP PRAYER MEETING GATHERING APOSTOLIC PROPHETIC NETWORK Ezek 22:30

Our GAP Network has been earnestly praying for our nation and its government as all the issues in Australian society re the treatment of women have been weaponised by the Opposition and the media against our Christian Prime Minister who himself is a family man of good character. Please keep him and his family in prayer and if you want to contact us re the prayers and decrees we have been using to use them yourself, please do.

VISION

I sense that we are at a real tipping point in our nation and the scales could go one way or the other. We really are at a time of crisis in our nation. I was seeing a precipice like our nation was on the precipice. It is a very precarious position. Our prayers are critical so please pray earnestly.

PART OF DECREE

I decree a divine reversal of all legislation and policies of all governments, and policies of all businesses and institutions in Australia that are anti-Christian including those relating to abortion, euthanasia and anti-family values. I decree reversal to the mindsets and hearts of those who develop and maintain anti-Godly legislation and policies in Australia. I decree reversal to the spirits behind this legislation and these policies.

I agree with scripture and say “the Lord rebuke you” (Jude 1:9)

I decree Jeremiah 1:10 over Australia that as His spiritual government, we will fulfil His word – “See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.” I decree that those who oppose You Lord in Australia who are in positions of influence in any sphere will have the opportunity to repent and reverse course or be removed. I decree they will be replaced by those who will build and plant into Australia a love for You, revival and transformation.

EXCITING VIDEOS FROM OUR CONFERENCES DIGITIZED FOR YOU

Above left is a photo taken at our Bethany Gate All Pacific Prayer Assembly in Cairns for the 400th anniversary of de Quiros’ declaration of the South Land of the Holy Spirit. Former Prime Minister of Vanuatu, Mr Edward Natapei and Rev Michael Maeliau from the Solomon Islands are speaking. On the right is our Psalm 24:7 conference in Sydney. Speak God’s Word Into Your House by Ps Norman Miller 13.2.21

This boomerang that Norman made and presented to Parliament on 27.11.13 2013 with about 360 signatures on the back asking for constitutional change is now housed in the Museum of Australian Democracy in Canberra (the old Parliament House) after being donated by Norman. In this photo, he presented it to Warren Entsch MP, Bronwyn Bishop, then Speaker of the House, Ken Wyatt MP and now Minister for Indigenous Australians. Norman was campaigning for removal of racism from the Australian constitution as well as constitutional recognition. The Uluru statement for “voice treaty truth” is a good one but it has yet to be implemented and there is disagreement between Indigenous people as to whether the voice should be legislated or enshrined in the constitution. The issue of removing racism from the constitution appears to have lost momentum with the emphasis on the voice. Please keep these issues in prayer.

Purim, the Feast of Esther 2.3.21

AUSTRALIA DAY PRAYER FOR INDIGENOUS LEADERS

As well as having Indigenous people from the various states praying for our nation, Norman prayed for Indigenous leaders.

Norman prayed for a double portion anointing to come on Indigenous leaders. He also shared in summary, “Ps 118:24 This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. We were born for such a time as this. Can a nation be born again in a day? Isa 66. Yes, Israel was and so now is Australia. We are going to have an Awakening. The Lord also spoke to me out of Ex 20:20 where Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning.” And we have had a year of testing with covid-19.

I believe the next 7 years are critical for our nation 2021-2028. Israel will turn 80 in 2028. Moses was 80 years old when he confronted Pharaoh. We need to free the 7 mountains from the spirit of Pharaoh and Babylon. First Nations people need to align with the Lion of the tribe of Judah who is roaring. We have not sold our birthright. The 7 mountains also need to be delivered from the spirit of Edom and Esau. Obadiah 1:21 says “Deliverers will go up on Mount Zion to govern the mountains of Esau. And the kingdom will be the LORD’s.”

Australia Day Prayer 26.1.21

Welcome to the new year!
Isa 43:18-19
“Remember not the former things,
nor consider the things of old.
Behold, I am doing a new thing;
now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
I will make a way in the wilderness
    and rivers in the desert.

2020 may have been a difficult year for you but God is purifying us so our light can shine. We have been privileged to host an Australia Day Prayer event by zoom on 26 January. It is a controversial day on our calendar with some celebrating and Aboriginal people reminded of colonisation and the pain that came with it. So, for Norman, as an Aboriginal, to host it is significant and we have done so a number of times over the years, the last 2 years in Canberra. This time was by zoom because of covid-19. The Lord has given him Genesis 26 about re-digging the wells as Genesis is the first book of the Bible and January is the first month of the year. So, we don’t want esek (disputes) or sitnah (hatred). We want rehoboth (open space) to live together in peace.

We believe we experienced a shift over our nation on Australia Day by the grace of God. We were blessed by prayers by video from the Hon. Senator Eric Abetz, the Hon. Senator Amanda Stoker and audio by Rev the Hon. Fred Nile MLC NSW Parliament. National Prayer leaders Brian Pickering, National Coordinator, Australian Prayer Network and Ps Warwick Marsh, National Coordinator, National Day of Prayer & Fasting & Canberra Declaration joined us live to pray.

A large number of enthusiastic pastors and intercessors prayed through the day. We had 2 beautiful worship segments, one led by Glen Sebasio of Tabernacle of David Canberra and one led by Tabernacle of David Cairns, the latter with original songs especially for Australia Day.

After the introductions by parliamentarians and national prayer leaders, we had a session where First Nations leaders from each state prayed for Australia. Ps Norman and Ps Barbara both shared stirring prophetic messages. Norman’s was focused on reconciliation – https://youtu.be/lJ62CuLsGLc and Barbara’s was on foundations, including our constitution – https://youtu.be/4xpdb9WTSQI.

We also had a session praying for the seven mountains of cultural influence/spheres – family, government, media, education, economy, religion and celebration/arts with different people appointed to pray for each mountain. Rev 11:15, NIV: “The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: ‘The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign for ever and ever.'” Until then, we are called to be salt and light and a godly influence on our society. Mat 5:13-16 ESV

The last session was praying for Australia as a Nation of Refuge and a blessing to Israel & the Nations (Heb 13:1-2, Lev 19:34, Gen 12:3) with different ethnic groups leading prayer. Australia has a redemptive gift of being a nation of refuge.

We thank the Lord that Ps Irwin Ross and Glen Sebasio, leaders of the Tabernacle of David in Canberra were able to join us on zoom with their congregation and that Ps Ross and Bronwyn Poulton were able to join us on zoom with a group from the Healing Rooms in Nowra.

Barbara released a decree “I decree that the captives who are under the spell of the dragon and the spirit of communism and the leviathan spirit and rainbow serpent will be set free all over Australia and the Asia Pacific and I release the angels of the Lord to accomplish this. I decree all vestiges of the Bamboo Curtin come down and all walls and rulers protecting the enemies of God to crumble. I decree that the people of Australia and Asia Pacific will achieve their God-given destiny and redemptive purpose.”

US Elections

I (Barbara) went out on a limb on 26.11.20 and released what the Lord put on my heart about the deception that Trump would serve a second consecutive term. WhatsApp groups were furiously reposting what they received from well-known prophets and prayer leaders from the USA and internationally. They were also reposting with gusto and passion about conspiracy theories from alternative media outlets.

The Lord was on my case that this was wrong and that even a lying spirit had been put in the mouth of the prophets. I kept praying, reluctant to release it because who was I and I didn’t want to touch the Lord’s anointed. However, the Lord kept disturbing my sleep and warned me of my and Norman’s responsibility as the leader of prayer networks.  Ezekiel was warned that blood would be on his hands if he didn’t warn when called to. (Ezekiel 3:18). So I released 2 messages and Norman also released one. They are below:

We are meant to use our discernment re prophecies and re media reports etc. Please ponder these scriptures and check out the messages below. We need to be careful not to add to deception by spreading it.

1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Mat 24:4-13. V4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

2 Tim 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but having itching ears, they shall heap to themselves teachers in accordance with their own lusts.

1 Pe 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?Lying spirit in the mouth of the prophets? Ps Barbara Miller shares 26.11.20 – https://youtu.be/WzOC7Nrd1bA

The Centre for International Reconciliation and Peace and Tabernacle of David Cairns have hosted many Australia Day Prayer events, the last two in Canberra and others in Melbourne, Sydney and Yarrabah Aboriginal community.

With covid-19 restrictions we are hosting it online in 2021 but it is shaping up to be an important time to redefine our priorities and to shape our nation into the Godly nation it is called to be. Take the time out to pray for our nation at this critical juncture in our history.

As an apostolic-prophetic team, Ps Norman & Barbara Miller have been a prophetic voice to Australia for many years and have led up a team of government intercessors for the last 2 years as part of the Gathering Apostolic Prophetic (GAP) Network. Ezekiel 22:30 tells us that God looked for someone to stand in the gap for Israel to avert judgement on it. Please be that person God is looking for to stand in the gap for our nation & join us on Australia Day. Indigenous issues will be covered too.

A world-first is a Hanukkah menorah made from boomerangs with the permission of the local Aboriginal people. It was set up on the Cairns Esplanade by the Chabad RARA and the candles were lit by MP Bob Katter and Deputy Mayor of Cairns Terry Lewis. Norman and Barbara were privileged to join the Jewish community for this event again this year. Last year Chabad RARA made another world-first by making the menorah out of mangoes.

This year, a menorah stands side by side with a Chrismas tree in the Cairns CBD for the first time. I have included a photo here of a Jewish family with the menorah and Christmas tree in their home which is not as unusual as we might think. The photo is from The Jewish News 23.12.2019.

Chag Hanukkah Sameach and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from our team at CFIRP and TOD.

R – William Cooper and the Australian Aborigines’ League. On 6 Dec, Abe Schwarz organised the 82nd-anniversary event of their Aboriginal protest march to the German Consulate in 1938 protesting Kristallnacht. It was held at Temple Beth Israel Melbourne and was also an online event at which Barbara was privileged to be a part. David Jack made a documentary of the 1938 protest and the efforts by family and others to carry on the legacy. It was a world-first premiere.

In a historic moment, the German government made an official apology to Australian Aborigines for snubbing the protest and this was recorded on the documentary and in Australian newspapers https://www.smh.com.au/national/germany-sorry-for-snubbing-aboriginal-protest-at-persecution-of-jews-20201204-p56kov.html

RECONCILIATION NEWZ BUZZ 2020 no 5 Oct 2020

Ps Norman Miller in his art gallery where he made signs “No Euthanasia” and “Stop Abortion.”
Before the Qld elections, Ps Norman was at the main pre-polling booth in Cairns a number of times with these signs and signs “No Youth in Adult Jails” and “Stop Youth Suicide.”

He was standing up for life as in Qld, the government has made it legal to have abortions for any reason up to the birth of a child and if an aborted child manages to live, it is left to die. Also, the government campaigned on rushing through voluntary assisted dying legislation before waiting for the Law Reform Commission to make its recommendations on legislation next March.

Youth suicide is at crisis levels including Indigenous youth suicide. Also, the Qld government has had a record of putting youth in adult jails and treating them poorly.

The word of God urges us to choose life not death. Deut 30:15-16, 19-20 – “See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction.”

The Lord impressed on Barbara in prayer recently that life and death are in the balance. He wants us to choose life. Yet we see around us mothers killing their unborn babies and saying they have the right to choose. They are “pro-choice” not “pro-life.” The precious gift of life God has given them is rejected and they will pay the price. We see families sick of waiting for elderly parents to die and looking to hasten their death through euthanasia.

There is a huge gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians when it comes to infant mortality, life expectancy and suicide, including child and youth suicide. Many of these children and youth have been sexually or physically abused and neglected. There is a hopelessness that can affect Aboriginal communities with people constantly going to funerals.

Yet our society seems to not want to know about these things or to have seared consciences (1 Tim 4:1-2). There is a lack of compassion and morality. This comes from a society divorced from Jesus who is Life personified. He said He is the way, the truth and the life. (John 14:6). Our nation needs Jesus, revival and transformation.

Prophet Isaiah says 5:20 “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!”

Many seem to have made a covenant with death (Isaiah 28:18). We will not cheat death ourselves by making a bargain with it and allowing it to run rampant in our nation. We need to cancel any agreement we have made with death and pray others will also. Barbara’s prayer is on the Canberra Declaration website.

Reenactment of the Australian Light Horse Charge at Be’er-Sheva, Israel on the centenary 31 Oct 2017. Norman and I were privileged to take an international team of 50 there for this event and a tour through the holy sites and battle sites of Israel. We also visited Messianic Jewish and Christian Arab congregations and hosted a Sons of Abraham conference in Jerusalem. This was the culmination of many trips.

We have 3 highlight DVDs available on our 2010 Israel trip. One focuses on Following the Footsteps of Jesus, another of Following the Footsteps of the Light horse and the third on Following the Footsteps of Jesus via local congregations. See https://reconciliationandpeace.org/2020/10/in-the-steps-of-the-lighthorse-anzacs/ for more information on this amazing story and https://reconciliationandpeace.org/store for the DVDs.

Pastor Barbara Miller delivers an inspiring message for the 2020 anniversary of the 31 Oct 1917 charge where the Australian Light horsemen rode into history and turned the tide of history following the Rider on the white horse of Revelation. The breakthrough at Be’er-Sheva by Allied forces including the ANZACS led to the opening of the way to Jerusalem and the end of the 400-year rule by the Ottoman Islamic empire. It paved the way for the re-formation of the nation of Israel in 1948, fulfilling Bible prophecy. We do not want to see the death caused by war but we honour the sacrifice of those who gave their lives so that we could have peace.

There is a beautiful calendar available from Beersheba Vision which would make a great gift. This photo taken with my phone doesn’t do it justice but check out the merchandise page on http://www.beershebavision.org/ and see the calendar, coffee mugs and mouse pads etc.

The National Solemn Assemblywas an important time where the nation of Australia came to prayer, led by Indigenous leaders. Ps Peter and Maria Walker were the Indigenous hosts assisted by Indigenous pastors Ps Tim and Di Edwards and it was facilitated by the Canberra Declaration team of Ps Warwick & Alison Marsh, Ps Kym Farnik, Kurt Mahlburg and others. It was supported by the National Council of Churches.

What was particularly significant was that it was held during the 10 Days of Awe leading up to Yom Kippur and through Yom Kippur, a time of repentance on the Biblical calendar. Norman and Barbara had an opportunity to pray and lead communion along with other leaders.

You might like to check out a snippet of our contribution here – https://youtu.be/ybUJ1ER81ho. Ps Norman also shared this prophecy at the National Solemn Assembly – https://youtu.be/7Gm-MlHCAfo

It was good to have international prayer support for the National Solemn Assembly and thanks to Ps Melissa Haigh and Gloria Watkins and AHOP for organising prayer covering. The Canberra Declaration followed this up with the month of October praying for life. This has been important with some state governments bringing in abortion to birth and euthanasia. Also, there are high rates of Indigenous suicide and youth suicide generally. There have been many key leaders, including Indigenous leaders, providing daily prayer points and scriptures. Ps Barbara’s contribution is as follows – https://www.facebook.com/CanberraDeclaration/photos/a.850546588304028/4788566944501953/ / https://blog.canberradeclaration.org.au/2020/10/23/day-23-choose-life-not-death/

Feast Tabernacles Sukkot

We were blessed to be speakers at Feast of Tabernacles or Sukkothosted by Ps Jack Yeo of Emmanual Blessings Centre. The main speaker was Apostle George Annadorai who gave a powerful message about Jesus judging the nations as sheep or goat nations (Mat 25) based on their treatment of Israel.

Dr Annadorai later hosted an event Shemini Atzeret on the 8th day of the Feast where Christians from most nations from the Pacific through Asia through the Middle East stood as sheep nations and repented if their nation was anti-Israel. We stood in the gap for Australia. Our congregation met while this was happening and Judy Miller heard the shofar blowing in the heavenlies and Shirley Miller heard trumpets blowing in the heavenlies. Colleen Burfitt heard and saw the shofar blown over Abraham’s well in Be’er-Sheva.

We hosted a wonderful Yom Kippur Service where Norman and Barbara both spoke and our guest speaker was Ps Avner Boskey from Israel and he and his wife Rachel blessed us with their worship as well. You can catch up with this on our church Facebook page of 28 Sept. Ps Avner Boskey is a Messianic Jewish author, teacher and musician. Avner and Rachel are the founders of Final Frontier Ministries, a ministry dedicated to stirring up the creative arts, worship, intercession, the prophetic and evangelism.

We will be hosting a Hannukah event soon as we commemorate all the feasts and started doing so in 1997.

Ps Norman Miller sharing further at Tabernacle of David on his prophetic word to the National Solemn Assembly 26.9.20

We have a ministry praying for the Australian government called Gathering Apostolic Prophetic Network (GAP) based on Ezek 22:30 and Isaiah 9:6-7. We have been meeting fortnightly by zoom for 2 years.

For those who may be disappointed with the results of the ACT, NZ and Qld elections, I felt the Lord bring this parable of the wheat and tares to my heart (Barbara) a few weeks ago. Mt 13:24-30. Jesus said in v30 “Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, ‘First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.’ ”

We need to continue to pray for our nations as righteousness exalts a nation. We want to also praise the Lord for His blessings on our nation. We have weathered the Covid 19 crisis and are finally at no new cases and no deaths – a double doughnut as the media has called it. It will take a long time to recover financially but the Reserve Bank is amazingly saying that we are out of recession. We continue to pray for the mental health crisis caused by Covid and that this shaking will bring revival and transformation.

We praise the Lord for the Tabernacle of David Asia Pacific Prayer Network which is hosted by Ps Norman and Barbara Miller of the Centre for International Reconciliation and Peace. We pray also for Israel, the Middle East and the Isaiah 19 highway.

We have a guest speaker for 15 mins at each of our fortnightly zoom prayer meetings and have had some wonderful speakers, beautiful worship and blessed prayer this year. Our last two speakers were Ps Emmanuel Fave, Chair All Pacific Arise and Ps Joy and Abraham Tan from Malaysia.

Other speakers we have been blessed with are Ps Shlomy and Miriam Abramov from Israel, Albert Veksler of the Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast, Dr George Annadorai from Singapore, Ps Jack Yeo from Sydney and Adel Moussa, originally from Egypt. Norman also shared a session on our long term Asia Pacific & Israel focus and Barbara shared on the de Quiros declaration and Vanuatu ministry.

The Lord bless you and keep you and make His face shine upon you.

We would appreciate your prayers re these 2 boomerangs Norman made. The first one on religious freedom was given to Senator Concetta Fierravanti-Wells in Feb 2020 when we were in Canberra for the National Prayer Assembly. She is campaigning on this issue said she would try to give it to the Prime Minister Scott Morrison. Norman would love to be able to be there for the handover. The second photo, also in Parliament House Canberra, was when Norman gave the boomerang to the then Speaker of the House, Bronwyn Bishop accompanied by Warren Entsch, then and current Member for Leichhardt and Ken Wyatt, current Minister for Indigenous Australians. This was in Nov 2013. As it is now of historical value, Norman has donated it to the Museum of Australian Democracy in Canberra which is housed in the Old Parliament House. He would love to be there for the official handover. Australian constitutional change to remove racism from the constitution and give First Nations people recognition and a voice in it is still in progress.

HAMAN-LIKE SPIRIT THREATENED WITH OWN GALLOWS IN BEIRUT

As soon as I (Barbara Miller) heard on Wednesday about the tragedy in Beirut, I sensed the Lord was showing me that it was a situation similar to Haman’s gallows. I shared that on a number of WhatsApp groups straight away. In the time of Queen Esther, Haman tried to trick the King of Persia (ancient Iran) into killing all the Jews in the vast empire of King Xerxes or Ahasuerus, virtually the then known world – from India to Ethiopia. The plot was exposed by Esther and her uncle Mordecai who were Jews and the genocide was stopped by another decree that reversed the effect of the first decree. The King ordered Haman hung on the gallows he had constructed himself to kill Modecai. Haman was a Persian/Iranian citizen but he was descended from Agag, King of the Amalekites, traditional enemies of Israel. Amalek was the grandson of Esau, the ancestor of the Edomites.

The Iranian-controlled terrorist group Hezbollah controls the port in Beirut where the ammonium nitrate that exploded was stored. It can be used for fertilizer or explosives. It is known that Hezbollah has weapons stored at the Beirut port to attack Israel with more than a hundred thousand missiles. This appears to be a case where Hezbollah’s plan to kill Jews in Israel has backfired upon them, tragically killing innocent civilians in the process. Another plot from Iran to kill Jews has been foiled.

This seems to be confirmed by media reports on Sunday that the people have built a mock gallows on which they performed a mock hanging of Hezbollah leader, Hassan Nasrallah & former prime minister Saad Hariri. A number of key intercessors have confirmed what the Lord showed me. It is important however that we have compassion for the injured and those who have lost their loved ones, Christians and others, and that we pray for reform, repentance and salvation in Lebanon and terrorism to end. There are urgent needs for food, medical aid and housing. Lebanon was already in financial and Covid-19 crisis before the blast and the blast has destroyed silos of wheat containing 85% of Lebanon’s food. Jonah was chastised by the Lord when he complained that the Lord spared Nineveh, the enemy of Israel, when they repented.

INDIGENOUS FRIENDS OF ISRAEL SUPPORTS ISRAEL EXTENDING  SOVEREIGNTY IN JUDEA AND SAMARIA

The Centre for International Reconciliation and Peace has a number of ministries under its umbrella and Indigenous Friends of Israel (IFI) is one of them. Formed in 2017, Ps Norman Miller said “It is simply untrue to maintain that Israel is an apartheid state. As Indigenous people, we know what apartheid is. Israel is a beacon of democracy in the Middle East and has Arab Members of the Knesset and has Arabs living peacefully and working in all walks of life enjoying their democratic freedoms.”

IFI was formed in July 2017 to counter Bob Carr’s anti-Israel comments and to maintain Australia’s bipartisan support for Israel. https://www.jwire.com.au/indigenous-friends-of-israel/

Norman and Barbara were blessed to share on Indigenous Friends of Israel at a Shalom Israel event in Melbourne in 2018 where the Christian and Jewish community came together at the Beth Weizmann Centre.

In July 2020, IFI, our Centre (CFIRP) and Tabernacle of David joined with Australia’s ICEJ and many other pro-Israel organisations to write a letter to Australia’s Foreign Minister, Marise Payne, to support the proposed extension by Israel of its sovereignty over Judea and Samaria as designated by the Trump Peace Plan called “Peace to Prosperity: A Vision to Improve the Lives of the Palestinian and Israeli People.” The letter added supporting international legal documents.

We were blessed to have Mr Albert Veksler of the Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast as a guest speaker at one of our Tabernacle of David Asia Pacific Prayer meetings that we host and he shared on this issue.

Barbara spoke to our Tabernacle of David Cairns on Judea and Samaria in the following video. One correction- at the end I shared I had a revelation in 2017 that the replacement theology of the church had opened the door for the supersessionism of Islam but I said Israel instead of Islam.

GATHERING APOSTOLIC PROPHETIC NETWORK (GAP)

A number of years ago, Barbara after a conference we hosted in Parliament House Canberra where we built a throne for the Lord, Barbara saw a vision of a crown over Parliament House and David Jack made this beautiful image.

At the start of 2019, we formed a spiritual government ministry praying for the Australian government, weekly then fortnightly praying by zoom. Called GAP based on Ezekiel 22:30 where the Lord looked for someone to stand in the gap for Israel so He would not have to destroy it for its sin, we appointed pastors and intercessors to federal government portfolios. They hear from the Lord and research current events to pray for these portfolios and the ministers responsible on a daily basis. This has greatly influenced government policy along the lines of maintaining our Judeo-Christian heritage. Our primary scripture is Isaiah 9:6-7 and we proclaim the government of Australia is on the shoulders of Jesus or Yeshua.

TABERNACLE OF DAVID ASIA PACIFIC PRAYER NETWORK

Norman and Barbara initiated the Tabernacle of David Asia Pacific Prayer Network (TODAPP) on Erev Shavuot with a trumpet blast and we have been blessed by the participation of pastors and intercessors from most nations in Asia and some in the Pacific. We meet on a fortnighly basis by zoom and have a WhatsApp group for prayer in between.

As well as having people from the actual nations leading prayer for their nations, we have a guest speaker each time as well and we have been very blessed to hear from Rev Dr George Annadorai from Singapore (pictured) on a couple of occasions. As we have a focus on Israel and the Isaiah 19 highway, we have prayer leaders from these nations as guest speakers and regular members. We were blessed to have Ps Shlomy and Miriam Abramov from Rishon LeZion Israel, Mr Ablert Vesksler from the Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast and our next guest speaker is Adel, an Egyptian Australian who regularly prays with us. Ps Jack Yeo from Emmanuel Blessings Centre in Sydney has been a wonderful support as has Judy Chiem.

BLACK LIVES MATTER
& ALL LIVES MATTER

By Barbara Miller

Norman made the point that yes, black lives matter but also all lives matter and he stood outside his art gallery with placards in the shape of hands saying “stop youth suicide” and “stop abortion.” He could have added stop domestic violence. He had signs saying John 3:16 and Ps 91 and he added “all live smatter to it.”
In answer to a question from an intercessor of how to stop a Black Lives Matter march in Sydney because of Covid-19 and other concerns, I gave an unusual answer. My answer was to use a strategy from the Lord around Balaam’s donkey. To start with, there are genuine grievances and pain and a genuine call for justice around the Black Lives Matter movement in the USA and Australia that I support. However, there are ungodly forces that have attached to the Black Lives Matter movement in the US – anarchism, Marxism, Islamist ideology and even traditional African spirituality e.g. invoking warrior ancestor spirits to help them. Some churches and synagogues in the US have been destroyed.

The Aboriginal Lives Matter movement in Australia which has become Black Lives Matter is different but with Marxist influences. My heart goes out to the family of David Dungay and others who have tragically lost their lives in custody.

In December 2015, Dungay’s heart gave way in Long Bay prison hospital under the weight of five prison guards. His last words were “I can’t breathe.” Ironically, they were preventing him from eating biscuits because he was diabetic and when he resisted, he was forcibly given a sedative. The 26-year-old Aboriginal is now being portrayed as Australia’s George Floyd. His family is distraught because the coroner did not find the prison officers guilty and want an inquiry which is understandable.

In 1983, John Pat, a 16-year-old Aboriginal boy, was beaten to death by four off-duty police officers in Karratha, Western Australia. The policemen were acquitted by an all-white jury of manslaughter, on the grounds of self-defence. His death and others led to the Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody which was presented with cases of police brutality to Aboriginals.

I was asked by the Queensland Commissioner, Lou Wyvill, to write a submission to the Inquiry on behalf of the Aboriginal Coordinating Council (ACC) of which I was CEO. ACC represented the land-based Aboriginal local government councils in Qld. I wrote a 100-page report in 1990.
Surprisingly, the royal commission found Indigenous people weren’t dying in custody at a higher rate than others. This is still the same situation today. They were over-represented in jail, but not in deaths in custody. Nevertheless, the implementation of the recommendations needs to be revisited and a fresh commitment made to enforce them. The Australian Law Reform Commission (2018) wrote, “Although Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adults make up around 2% of the national population, they constitute 27% of the national prison population.”
The Australian reported on 15.6.20 “The Australian Institute of Criminology, in a paper by Jenny Mouzos, says that from 1989 until 2000,

CLOSING THE GAP

By Barbara Miller

The Closing the Gap initiative was set up by then Prime Minister Kevin Rudd after the 2008 Apology re the stolen generations of children. The Apology was a watershed moment in Australian history with the nation, Indigenous and non-Indigenous, engaged with the bipartisan event and a lot of healing occurred. Norman and I were in Parliament House Canberra for it. Rudd wanted to follow with practical reconciliation measures to reduce the huge socio-economic disadvantage of Indigenous people on most socio-economic indicators like health and mortality, education, employment etc.

However, at the 10-year mark in 2018, it was found that only 2 of the 7 targets were met. It was a failure. There have been extensive negotiations since then for a reset and finally, very recently 16 targets instead of 7 have been set and signed onto by federal and state governments and 50 peak Indigenous organizations.

I am especially happy that there are new targets for reducing by 2031 the extremely high levels of incarceration of Indigenous adults (by 15%) and youth (by 30%), reducing the high number of children in out-of-home care (by 45%) reducing overcrowding in housing and new targets for recognizing Indigenous legal interests over land and sea and increasing the use of Indigenous languages. However, should all these targets by met by 2031, it will still be a very long time into the future before parity is reached and there is no gap – a sad situation.

I have 12 prayer points I can send to anyone interested.

BLACK LIVES MATTER (cont)

15.1 per cent of all homicide victims nationally were Aboriginal, as were 15.7 per cent of all homicide offenders — and yet Aboriginal people were less than 3 per cent of the population.”

Re black-on-black violence, The Australian also reported on 15.6.20, that Aboriginal leader “Jacinta Price wrote in The Daily Telegraph on June 9: ‘In 2018 in the NT alone, 85 per cent (4355) of Aboriginal victims of crime knew the offender. Half were victimised by partners. Aboriginal women made up 88 per cent (2075) of those victims.’

“Aboriginal children were 5.9 per cent of the population but five times more likely to be hospitalised after an assault than non-indigenous children. ‘Between 2007 and 2011, 26 per cent of all deaths among Aboriginal children … were … (from) abuse injury,’ she wrote. ‘The leading cause of child death between 2014 and 2017 … was suicide. This is a quarter of all child suicides in Australia (85 of 357)’.”

“Realising that there are fundamental connections between child neglect, child sexual abuse, Aboriginal victims of crime and the high rates of incarceration will allow us to address these critical issues effectively.”

Some intercessors did pray the prayer strategy of Balaam’s donkey before the Sydney march on 28.7.20 which was cancelled. The donkey (vehicle) refused to take Balaam where he wanted because an angel stood in the way. If you want a copy of this prayer strategy, please contact me.

We are a small team with much ministry happening and we would love to have some support with a one-off offering or a regular donation. One example is that Norman has been doing street ministry via worship on Cairns streets for 3 years now 2 or 3 nights a week. After a short break due to Covid-19 restrictions, he is back doing it again. If you have prayer needs, please let us know.If there is anything specific you would like to sow into, then please use it as a reference.   Here are our bank details –

The Canberra Declaration book

The Canberra Declaration released on 22 July a book called “The Blessings of Almighty God: the Canberra Declaration Story and the Call to Revitalise Australia.” I have written a chapter, with Norman, called Canberra Declaration: the birth of a new push to protect our Judeo-Christian heritage.” Architects of the Canberra Declaration, Warwick Marsh, Graham McLellan and Bill Muehlenberg and other key people wrote chapters also.

Norman and I helped launch the Canberra Declaration at a conference we hosted at Parliament House Canberra on 23 July 2010 so the book was launched for the 10th anniversary. Those who wrote chapters were asked to write some personal stories of how we got involved with the Canberra Declaration and our journey. The book is available from https://canberradeclaration.org.au/ and there is also information on my website www.barbara-miller-books.com.

Success Code

“Success Code” is an anthology and I am a co-author. Do you ever wonder why some people always seem to succeed, and others fail?  Most “overnight” successes have been developed with small changes in daily habits and mindset tweaks, one day at a time.

We asked over 20 experts to describe these habits for us, and the result was “The Success Code.” The book is a life lesson of habits, mindsets and stories of how they have been used to overcome obstacles and achieve success.
My chapter is entitled “The Power of Vision” and covers how my team and I successfully organised the Bethany Gate All Pacific Prayer Assembly conference in Cairns, Australia. It is on pre-order and at a special price of 99c so don’t miss out on the special price. The book launches as an ebook on 4 August. The link which is

Shattered Lives Broken Dreams

The Nazis shatter glass and shatter the lives of European Jews at Kristallnacht, the start of the Holocaust. An Australian Aboriginal, William Cooper, leads the campaign for civil rights for his people who are dying of poverty and mistreatment around him. 1938; two worlds, far apart. Cut to the core after Kristallnacht, can he do anything to stop it?

Described as Australia’s Martin Luther King, Cooper leads the Australian Aborigines’ League on a protest to the German Consulate in Melbourne. Would the Third Reich pour out its wrath on them? Would they make a difference?

A Chair of Resistance to the Holocaust was named in honour of Cooper at Yad Vashem. His grandson, Alf Turner, becomes passionate about fulfilling his grandfather’s unfinished business and taking the protest to Berlin itself. How will he be received? Launched in Feb 2020, the ebook now has a new cover.
