REPENTANCE FROM A CHRISTIAN LEBANESE STANDING IN THE GAP FOR ARAB NATIONS FOR THE EXILE AND THEFT OF 850,000-900,000 JEWS FROM ARAB LANDS IN 1948 AND ONWARDS

As a Born-Again Christian Lebanese from my father’s side and Syrian from my mother’s side,  I stand in the Gap, and I ask forgiveness on behalf of my Government and other Phoenicians and Arabic nations.
 
I also repent on behalf of all Lebanese, Syrians and other Arabic nations the way have treated the Jews and stole their properties and inheritance.
 
After the establishment of Israel in 1948, many Arab governments enacted policies that led to confiscation of Jewish property, revocation of citizenship, and forced exile. Hundreds of thousands of Jews from Iraq, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Libya, and other nations were displaced, often leaving behind homes, businesses, and cultural heritage that had existed for centuries.
 
A repentance prayer or declaration on behalf of those governments, here’s a structured draft you could adapt for your prayer guides or communal use:

Acknowledgment of Wrongdoing
We acknowledge before God and history that Jewish communities in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Egypt, and across the Arab nations were unjustly stripped of their homes, properties, and livelihoods. They were uprooted from lands where they had lived for generations, contributing to culture, commerce, and society.
 
Confession of Sin
We confess the sins of theft, injustice, and expulsion committed by governments and authorities who denied Jewish people their rightful place and dignity. We recognize the pain caused by these actions, both to individuals and to the collective Jewish people.
 
Repentance and Turning
On behalf of these nations, we repent for the arrogance, hatred, and violence that led to such grievous wrongs. We turn away from the spirit of antisemitism and hostility, and we ask for forgiveness from the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
 
Appeal for Healing
We pray for healing of historical wounds, restoration of dignity, and reconciliation between Jews and Arabs. May the injustices of the past be redeemed by acts of justice, mercy, and truth in the present and future.
Commitment to Change
 
We commit to stand against antisemitism in all its forms, to Honor the Jewish people, and to seek peace and blessing between nations.
 
We intercede and Pray for modern Arab governments to acknowledge past wrongs and pursue reconciliation.
•            Declare: Speak blessing over Jewish communities worldwide, especially those who were displaced.
•            Stand: Commit to resisting antisemitism in all its forms and to honouring the Jewish people.
•            Release: Proclaim Isaiah 61:7 — “Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance.”
 
Closing Blessing
May the God of peace heal ancient wounds, redeem stolen inheritances, and release His blessing over both Jews and Arabs. May nations be transformed by His justice and mercy.

Antisemitism Colab in Sydney Dec 1-2 co-hosted by Australian Jewish Funders and the Dor Foundation. Very strategic event and they emphasized the need for collaboration.

DEC 6 2024 EVENTS CANBERRA MILLERS PICTURED WITH ISRAEL AMBASSADOR TO AUSTRALIA THE HON. AMIR MAIMON AS HE DEDICATES A PLAQUE ALONG WITH THE GERMAN AMBASSADOR TO WILLIAM COOPER IN COMMEMORATION OF HIS PROTEST AGAINST THE PERSECUTION OF JEWS AT KRISTALLNACHT. AFTERWARDS, NORMAN MAKES A DECLARATION IN HIS FIGHT AGAINST ANTISEMITISM OUTSIDE PARLIAMENT HOUSE. THE AMBASSADOR’S GESTURE GOT LITTLE PUBLICITY BECAUSE THE ADASS YISRAEL SYNAGOGUE IN MELBOURNE WAS SADLY FIREBOMBED THE SAME DAY.

DEC 6 IS THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE PROTEST ABORIGINAL WILLIAM COOPER LED IN AUSTRALIA AFTER KRISTALLNACHT, THE START OF THE HOLOCAUST.

Our expert curriculum writer Shoshana Linnane has developed 10-week modules for Grades 1-2 and 5-6. These lessons use the story of a 7-year-old Jewish refugee girl from the kindertransport during World War II to help children understand what it means to be displaced, excluded, or vulnerable. The modules foster empathy, compassion, and respect for diversity through activities like art, music, and drama, and align with the national curriculum. We want all children to grow up in safe, inclusive communities where they learn to treat others fairly and without discrimination.

A Declaration of Solidarity with Israel from the
Indigenous and Diverse Communities of the Pacific Rim

We recognize the Jewish people as the Indigenous stewards of the land of Israel, their ancestral homeland, where their history, culture, and spiritual legacy have been rooted for millennia. This indigeneity resonates deeply with our own connections to land, tradition, and resilience, forging a sacred bond between our communities and the Jewish people. We honor Israel not only as a homeland but as a beacon of morality, kindness, and grace—a nation that exemplifies the highest standards of humanity in the face of unparalleled challenges.

Indigenous peoples of the Pacific Rim not only have a shared indigeneity with Jewish people but the shared experience of tribal societies, close family relations, attachment to land and closeness to nature. We also have shared experiences of colonisation, dispersion, ethnic cleansing, persecution, discrimination, marginalisation, trauma and the need for resilience.

Despite this, our cultures and spirituality remain strong. We applaud the Jewish people that they have been able to retain their religion and culture, revive their language and decolonise their land with the rebirth of the state of Israel in 1948 forming the only democracy in the Middle East.

Dr. Balbin is also one of the founders and leaders of The Lions of Zion, a grassroots Zionist movement founded in 2024 in Melbourne with the goal of standing up against the threats faced by Jews, Israelis, and their allies.

When I prayed at the end of this message for viewers to open their hearts and receive Jesus as their Saviour and fill that void or hole or God-space in their lives, Judy Miller who was present, saw a vision of the book of life in heaven with names being entered into it so I thank God for that. She said that when I go to heaven, people will tell me that they are there because of me.

I think this is even much more so with Charlie Kirk who opened the door of heaven for many people while he was alive so their names would be written in the book of life (eternal life). After his death, his message will bring many many more to turn their lives around and accept Jesus.

John 12.24 New Living Translation “I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels—a plentiful harvest of new lives.” Charlie loved God passionately, loved Israel passionately, loved his wife and children and nation passionately and promoted traditional Judeo-Christian values which are now counter-cultural.

He founded Turning Point and changed the lives of many young people. His death will be a turning point. While many on the left mocked, others on the left said they could not continue on the left after this callous response. Many wept and said they would follow in Charlie’s footsteps. Some commentators have said this is an issue beyond left and right wing but is good versus evil and so it is. Charlie ran the good race and won and is now with Jesus. HIs wife Erika, despite her grief, has vowed to carry on, saying her cries would become a battle cry. We pray for his wife and children, family and friends and also for the family of the killer who will be grappling with this tragedy.

CAIRNS FESTIVAL PARADE MUNGANBANA ABORIGINAL ART GALLERY FLOAT

Munganbana Norman likes to put a float in the Cairns Festival Parade each year and this year on Sept 30, the Lions of Zion from Melbourne joined us on the float. Norman called the float Let’s Dance and made a large Dancing Brolga and a large Dancing Dolphin. You can’t see the Dolphin in the photo but you can see a large Nemo or Clownfish. Norman’s family helped him again this year decorating the float.

The vision Norman had for the float was to sing and/or play the music of Christian songs and songs with good values over the city where thousands lined the streets to watch and wave. Norman particularly wanted to sing the song Jerusalema over the city, which he did to honour the holy city which is the throne Jesus will rule from for 1,000 years.

We look forward to the heavenly Jerusalem coming down over the earthly Jerusalem. Norman had asked some African dancers to join us behind the float because Jerusalema is in African but they didn’t make it. What was higly significant is that Lions of Zion from Melbourne – Isaac, Joshua and Anthony (pictured) and their families joined us which was wonderful.

SUCCESSFUL MEETINGS WITH EDUCATION AUTHORITIES

Norman and Barbara have had many successful meetings with state and commonwealth education authorities and federal ministers over our School Antisemitism Education Project. The story of the Kindertransport is central to the resources we have provided for Grades 1&2 and Grades 5&6 and Kristallnacht to Grades 3&4 resources in our Schools Antisemitism Education Project launched in Cairns 7.7.25. We are also pleased to announce that  Eli and Jill Rabinowitz of the WE ARE HERE! Foundation & Lillian Miller, an Indigenous teacher of 40 years experience, are on the Advisory Panel for this project. Eli and Jill have been advising on the project since its inception. The Executive Council of Australian Jewry have joined us a few times in our project discussions. 

Prophet Balaam & Tisha B’Av: the Power of Blessing & Cursing & Negative Words by Ps Barbara Miller 12.7.25

The Seventeenth of Tammuz is on July 13 and starts the 3 weeks to 9 Av or Tisha B’Av. The Seventeenth of Tammuz is a Jewish fast day commemorating the breach of the walls of Jerusalem before the destruction of the Second Temple. The three weeks is a mourning period leading up to Tisha B’Av. However there were many tragedies that occurred on 9 Av going back to when the 12 spies were sent out to reconnaissance the Promised Land.

We launched the Schools Antisemitism Education Project in Cairns 7 July in a wonderful event at the Munganbana Aboriginal Art Gallery

Famous Aboriginal singer, artist, didjeridoo player and edutainer, Dr David Hudson spoke. David played the didjeridoo at the official ceremony for the Be’er-Sheva centenary in Israel in 2017. We were blessed to have Rabbi Ari Rubin from Chabad Rural and Remote speaking as well. He has studied in London, New York and Israel and worked globally.

Ps Norman Miller was MC and movingly sang October Rain which was sung by Eden Golan of Israel at Eurovision to commemorate October 7. David and Rabbi Ari spoke about William Cooper because he is the Father of NAIDOC and we launched this event as part of the official NAIDOC Week events. Barbara spoke on the Antisemitism Project. Election Aftermath: Where to now re Australia’s stand on Israel and the Jewish people?”

Speakers are Roz Mendelle, co-director of the Qld Jewish Collective and co-director of Minority Impact Coalition who was very active in the election. Ps Norman Miller, co-founder of IFI Int, who ran as an Independent in the federal election, will be the other speaker. The next newsletter will give you the flyer and registration link. One concern among many in the election result is that the Liberals lost the election resoundingly. They had accepted all 15 recommendations coming out of the Antisemitism Summit in Sydney that we attended earlier this year. The Labor party has not accepted any of them and is anti-Israel.

Anniversary of Proclamation of Rebirth of State of Israel

On May 14, 1948, David Ben-Gurion, the head of the Jewish Agency, proclaimed the establishment of the State of Israel. U.S. President Harry S. Truman recognized the new nation on the same day.

In 1949, the UN officially recognized Israel as a member state on May 11th through General Assembly Resolution 273.

Southland of Holy Spirit Declaration by Quiros

On the 14th May 1606, on Pentecost, Pedro Fernandes de Queirós (Quiros) the Portuguese explorer under the command of the King of Spain made a declaration. He thought he was on the great unknown southern continent now known as Australia but he was on the island of Espiritu Santo in Vanuatu.

He claimed everything south of that point for the Holy Spirit, which arguably includes Australia, NZ and the Pacific. He called it “Terra Australis del Espiritu Santo” or Southland of the Holy Spirit. Norman and I have stood at the very point he declared it with local Christians and spoken at events there and conferences in Espirito Santo.

This will be an amazing seminar as Dr Lisa Sarzin has been at the forefront of Jewish-Indigenous relations and has much insight and experience to share. Also the story of the Rona Tranby Trust helping descendants of Indigenous Light horsemen to go to Israel for the Beer Sheva centenary is an amazing one.

Lauren Briggs shares the heart-warming work of the Heartbeat project where UIA helps out with needy families in Israel. Also Lauren and UIA brought a group of Israeli survivors and rescuers from Oct 7 – Jewish, Druze, Muslim and Christian to Australia mid last year to share their stories. Australian Dionne Taylor has connected with them and become the Australian representative of Israel-is.

Lauren is working with Dionne to bring them out again this April and Never Again is Now and Israel-is is hosting them in Sydney April 1 and Melbourne April 8. It is called Shared Stories: Interfaith Voices for a Cohesive Future” and combines an immersive VR experience with a panel discussion, featuring leaders from Israel’s Druze, Muslim, Christian & Jewish communities. This is the link to register

Pastor Norman Miller has announced he is standing as an Independent for the seat of Leichhardt in the federal election expected to be in May 2025 so please pray for him. Here is his press statement. 

PRESS RELEASE RE NORMAN MILLER STANDING FOR LEICHHARDT AS INDEPENDENT 27.2.25


Aboriginal pastor and businessman, Munganbana Norman Miller announced today that he is standing in the federal elections as an independent for the north Queensland seat of Leichhardt. Over 16% of its population is Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander.

Miller said, “I am standing because I believe the Labor government has lost its way. In sporting terms, Albo has lost his dressing room. He has lost the confidence of all Australians eg. the dreams and visions of young people to own a home.

“Australia is a nation that fights above its weight, and we need to find that common ground that brings all Australians together e.g. the values our servicemen fought for, Including Indigenous servicemen. We need to restore pride in our nation, with its Judeo-Christian values the west is based on and our democratic values.

“My campaign theme is ‘Govern for all Aussies’ and I will work for all of you. I have a 10-point plan but the two main things I’m campaigning on are cost of living and antisemitism/social cohesion/safety which is a national crisis.

“Today we find that private health insurance is up 3.73% swallowing up the Reserve Bank’s cash rate cut for 15 million members of health funds.

“The Albanese government campaigned last election on bringing down the cost of living, including a $275 decrease in electricity bills. All we have seen is increased costs -electricity (up 32%), gas (up 36%), food (up 12%), rents (up 17%). Petrol and house prices have also skyrocketed.

Inflation has been so high that we have just had the first interest rate cut in nearly 5 years. In Aboriginal and Torres Islander and country areas, prices are even worse than in the cities.

“This is hitting farmers and businesses really hard as well as Mum and Dad Australians. We are in a per-capita recession and inflation has been fuelled by a high-spending government. Interest rates have gone up 12 times since Labor was elected and mortgage repayments have become unbearable, forcing some families out of their homes. The accompanying stress has affected marriages, families and mental health.

“We have people in our nation who hate our values, who hate our nation, who hate our way of life, so we are in trouble. Rising and rampart antisemitism is one outcome of this, whether it comes from the left or the right. Because our values are based on Judeo-Christian ethics and democracy, our tolerance has emboldened the intolerant and our parliamentarians’ and law enforcement’s lack of will have let us down.
 
“This antisemitism is threatening our social cohesion and is tearing the fabric of our society apart. We don’t want our children to grow up hating one another or hating one section of our society or even hating our nation. This is unAustralian.

“Youth crime is an increasing problem causing great concern and we have recently had a home invasion in Manunda, Cairns where a woman was allegedly hauled out of bed and raped while she and her partner were held at knifepoint. This has made residents of Manunda and Cairns generally worried about their security.

“Labor’s approach to national security has weakened our nation with cuts to defence spending (now under 2 per cent of GDP).

“Community safety is a concern with over 280 serious criminals being released from immigration detention under this government, with many reoffending. Chinese warships firing in international waters just off our coastline have posed a threat to the safety of passengers in at least 49 domestic flights which have had to change flight patterns.

“Albo and his government have lied to the public saying that there was not enough warning by the Chinese of the live fire when the notification was 90 mins afterwards and a Virgin pilot was the first one to notify the government. Albo would rather risk the life of Australians than upset China.

“Albo and the Labor government would rather get votes from Muslims in western Sydney than deal with the antisemitism crisis in our nation with ASIO boss Mike Burgess saying this week that the biggest national security threat re loss of life in Australia is from antisemitism. When asked by Senator Paterson if the risk was ever this high before re a form of racism, he said no.”
