30th Anniversary Celebration — Tabernacle of David Cairns & Centre for International Reconciliation & Peace

Join us online as we celebrate 30 years of God’s faithfulness and the journey of the Tabernacle of David Cairns and the Centre for International Reconciliation & Peace.

For three decades, this ministry has been involved in reconciliation, worship, prayer, teaching, hosting conferences in Parliament House Canberra and overseas and building relationships locally, nationally and internationally. We are grateful for the many people and ministries God has brought across our path and for the opportunities we have had to serve and build bridges of friendship and reconciliation around the world.

🎥 Launch of our 30-Year Documentary

The evening will include the launch of a video documentary telling the story of our 30 years — remembering the people, places, ministries and significant moments that have shaped our journey. We thank David Jack the videographer.

We will also hear presentations and messages from ministries around the world with whom we have worked over the years, sharing memories, encouragement and reflections on the journey.

Our Anniversary Scriptures

Two Scriptures have been especially significant to us as we look back over these 30 years:

“Ask of Me, and I will give you the nations for your inheritance.” — Psalm 2:8
“You also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house…” — 1 Peter 2:5

Together, these Scriptures reflect two important aspects of our journey: a heart for the nations and the building of people and relationships as living stones in God’s temple.

Online via Zoom. Register here

This will be a relaxed anniversary celebration — an opportunity to give thanks, remember the past, celebrate the present and look towards the future.

Registrations via Humanitix are free and you have the opportunity to get an Ebook on Prophetic Ministy for $5, a copy of the 30-year DVD for $20 and even donate if you feel led to for the refurbishment of our church.

We don’t have airconditioning even though we are in the tropical heat of Cairns. We don’t have wifi to be able to livestream our weekly services or other events and we need to replace our old plastic chairs and get a new door. We would love you to be able to share in the fruits of this ministry by helping with this. As 1 Samuel 30:24 says ” … The share of the man who stayed with the supplies is to be the same as that of him who went down to the battle. All will share alike.”

The zoom link will be available via the confirmation email when you register via humnitix.

We would love you to join us as we celebrate 30 years of faith, obedience, reconciliation, friendship and God’s faithfulness.

AS FIRST NATIONS PEOPLE WE SUPPORT INDIGENOUS ISRAEL

By Barbara and Munganbana Norman Miller, IFII

“As Indigenous people, we want to support other Indigenous people, and by moving back to their ancient homeland from Europe, the Middle East, Asia and so on where they had been in exile, Jews have participated in a miracle of decolonisation.”

The Resilience Blueprint: A Guide for Jewish Parents Raising Confident, Resilient Children in the Face of Antisemitism

By Barbara Miller

If you have a Jewish friend looking for practical tools, encouragement, and a positive path forward for their family, this guide is for you. It will have some tips for other parents too re resilience.

Most importantly, this guide offers hope. It reminds parents and children alike that while antisemitism is real, it does not define who they are. Jewish identity is bigger than prejudice. Jewish history is richer than hatred. And resilience can be learned, strengthened, and passed on to the next generation.

The Four Pillars of Jewish Resilience: Community, Family, Faith & Culture, and Heritage & Contribution
When to seek additional support
Practical ways to build confidence and resilience
Strategies for handling online harassment
How to work effectively with schools
What to do when a child is targeted or excluded
Ways to build Jewish pride without creating fear
How to talk to children about antisemitism at different ages
Inside you’ll discover:

Written by Barbara Miller, B.A. (Hons Psychology), Grad Dip Sociology, the guide combines insights from psychology, sociology, Holocaust education, and contemporary experience to help families respond constructively to antisemitism while strengthening resilience, identity, and wellbeing.

A free resource, the Resilience Blueprint provides practical, compassionate, and evidence-informed guidance for parents navigating these difficult questions.

Jewish parents today are facing challenges that many hoped belonged to the past. Children are encountering antisemitism at school, online, in sport, and sometimes even in places where they should feel safest. How do we protect them without frightening them? How do we build confidence instead of anxiety? How do we help them develop a strong Jewish identity in a world that can sometimes feel hostile?

Antisemitism Support and Action

Barbara Miller is an author, historian, teacher, sociologist and former psychologist and has just founded a community on Skool.

After the Holocaust of 6 million Jews and others including gypsies, political opponents, homosexuals and the disabled, the world said “Never Again”. However we have seen it again on Oct 7 2023 where 1200 Isaelis were horrifically killed, at Bondi Beach Australia where 15 mostly Jews were massacred and incidents around the world with calls to Globalize the Intifada.

So we now have a situation where antisemitism has grown like a monster that is tearing apart the social fabric of many nations including Australia, destroying the multicultural dream with divisive rhetoric and hateful actions, challenging the values our peaceful democracies were built on and traumatising Jews in Israel and around the world who just want to live their lives in peace and contribute to a better world.

Not only that, antisemitism has morphed from the ancient fear of difference and envy and scapegoating of the Jews for the world’s problems to the race-based worldview of the Nazis during World War 2 that Jews were inferior to Aryans to the current variety.

We now have the shocking inversion of Jews being falsely accused as Nazis and antisemitism masquerading as acceptable, even proud antizionism or criticism of Israel’s policies and right to exist. Not content to genocide Jews they want to genocide Israel from the river to the sea. And globalize their war on Jews.

So now, instead of the Nazis, we have what has been called a “horseshoe” coalition of marxists on the left, fascists on the right and radical Islamists, with little in common except their hatred of Jews and their desire to brand and run the world in their image.

So I have developed this community to:
· Increase awareness and provide educational materials both historic and current
· Create a community where discussion and support can occur
· Provide comfort and support for the Jewish community and others who feel grief at the state of affairs we are in and
· Encourage and equip upstanders or people of principle who want to make a difference in dealing with this scourge of antisemitism. You can join

TWO-PAGER ON ISRAEL: ANSWERING ACCUSATIONS IN THE MEDIA

ISRAEL IS COMMITTING GENOCIDE IN GAZA

Israel rejects the case of genocide that South Africa took to the International Court of Justice calling it “baseless blood libel.” Under the 1948 UN Genocide Convention, genocidal intent must be proved. Israel’s military operation was self-defence after the Hamas massacre of 1200 mostly civilians in Israel on October 7 and the taking of 251 hostages. The IDF directed operations at Hamas not the civilian population which it warned before actions. Unfortunately, in urban warfare with Hamas embedded in hospitals, schools, UN facilities etc., and Hamas preventing civilians leaving, civilian casualties occurred despite Israel’s efforts. The Genocide Convention is being weaponized and distorted to turn world opinion against Israel.

Hamas leader Sinwar admitted the higher the civilian casualties, the more the Palestinians won the propaganda war so they facilitated it. He called it “necessary sacrifices” and “infusing life into the veins of this nation” (https://www.fdd.org/analysis/2024/06/11/hamas-leader-yahya-sinwar-depicts-palestinian-casualties-as-necessary-sacrifices/).

Also, the world media uncritically accepted the Hamas’ casualty figures and after the war, Hamas admitted figures were much lower. The civilian to combatant ratio is lower than other urban warfare wars – 1.45:1-   due to the IDF’s policy to limit civilian deaths. One example – Hours after the UN had retracted false claims that 14,000 Gazan children were at risk of dying of malnutrition and hours after the BBC had reported that the claims were incorrect, the ABC were still running the claims as a headline story and, as Antisemitism Envoy Jillian Segal told the Royal Commission, it was a week before they corrected it online.

The World Turned Upside Down | Biblical Warning
by Ps Barbara Miller

The world has been turned upside down because society as a whole has rejected the moral code of our Judeo-Christian heritage and reversed it so they call good evil and evil good. And our society and cultural values have rejected the God of the Bible. We are in rebellion.

Isaiah 5:20 “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.” Society has lost its moral compass with people redefining sin as acceptable behavior and rejecting moral truth. Are we living in an upside down world? This Christian message offers a fresh perspective on why society feels out of kilter today.

Making a Difference and What Did Jesus Mean About His Father’s Business? by Ps Norman Miller

Ps Norman Miller inspires us to be about our Father God’s business as Jesus was. Luke 2:49. Jesus taught in the synagogue when he was 12 years old and they were amazed at his wisdom. He grew in favour with God and people and we need to pray for favour. In fact we have God’s number Jeremiah 33:3 and need to call out to him in prayer. We need to be salt and light. We need to let our light shine and not hide it.

When God calls us, we need to be like the boy Samuel and many leaders in the Bible and say, “Here I am, Lord.” We need to make a difference as the King James version tells us in Jude 22 “And of some have compassion, making a difference.” We can make a difference just where we are and with what we already have. Reach out with acts of random kindness.

Christians Don’t Realize Their Citizenship in the Commonwealth of Israel by Ps Barbara Miller

The Bible includes several foundational passages that define the citizens, covenants, and expansion of this commonwealth of Israel to include non-Jewish believers. Key Biblical Passages Ephesians 2:11-13: Describes Gentile believers as formerly “aliens from the commonwealth of Israel” who are now brought near through the blood of Christ.

Ephesians 2:19 & 3-6: Explains that through the gospel, non-Jewish believers become “fellow citizens with the saints” and “fellow heirs” in one body. Romans 9:4: Lists the historic privileges belonging to Israel, including the covenants, the law, and the promises. Romans 11:17: Uses the analogy of a wild olive tree being “grafted in” to represent Gentile inclusion into the covenant promises. Understand the Commonwealth of Israel and its biblical significance. Learn how this foundational concept shapes your faith walk today.

You can join HERE

“If I Survive” Interview with Holocaust Survivor Lena Goldstein by Author

“If I Survive.” This thought haunted Lena. Her loved ones were cruelly forced from her arms in the Warsaw Ghetto in Poland and perished in Treblinka Death Camp. This is a true story of Holocaust survival. In ww2 books, it is a searing story of human rights abuses and genocide.

The story of Nazi Germany and the Jews is a story of anti-Semitism, Nazi concentration camps, gas chambers and World War 11 (wwii). The Warsaw ghetto where the Nazis had imprisoned the Jews was being emptied as Hitler’s Final Solution to murder all of European Jewry was put into action. Lena kept thinking, “It’s my turn next.” As some Jews escaped Treblinka and exposed it as being a death camp not a labour camp, young men and women in the ghetto decided to make a stand

STRIKE ON IRAN ON SHABBAT ZACHOR, A BLOW AGAINST TERROR STATE & ANTISEMITISM

By Barbara Miller 1.3.26

Today’s Haman, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who had a similar plan to eliminate worldwide Jewry, met the same fate and on the eve of Purim – his own death. And the Jewish people live. Am Yisrael Chai.

The US and Israel attack on Iran, ancient Persia, over its nuclear and ballistic missiles and sponsorship of terrorism targeted at Israel occurred on Shabbat Zachor. This is the Shabbat before Purim which starts Monday evening. On Shabbat Zachor or the Shabbat of Remembrance, there is a supplementary reading to the parashah or torah portion. It is Deuteronomy 25:17-19 and it commands the people of God to remember the evil of Amalek and obliterate it from the earth, “obliterate the memory of Amalek from under the heavens.”

Did Israeli and even American leaders know that they fulfilled this command by striking Iran on Shabbat Zachor? I think they did. They may have even timed it for this reason.

The commandment was given when the Israelites were coming from Egypt into the Promised Land and the Amalekites attacked the stragglers, weak and elderly at the rear. The commandment was repeated by GoD to Moses in Exodus 17:14-16 when Amalek attacked them at Rephidim, challenging God’s throne, just before they got to Mt Sinai where God made covenant with them and gave them the ten commandments.

Another attempt to prevent Israel’s destiny was when David and his men returned to their camp at Ziglag to find their camp burnt and wives taken captive. This could have prevented him becoming King but he led a successful rescue. Sadly, this is near present day Kibbutz Be’eri and Kfar Aza where some of the worst atrocities occurred on October 7 and we visited there recently.

So. it is no surprise that, though the Amalekites have disappeared as a race that Israel has a habit of calling all its enemies Amalekites. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu used the term Amalekites re Hamas so the prosecutors used this to accuse him of genocide at the International Court of Justice hearings. The jury is out so to speak but the damage has been done.

Why would Amalek have a murderous hate of Israel? He was the grandson of Esau, twin to Jacob whose name was changed to Israel. Esau despised his birthright and inheritance and sold it to his brother for a bowl of lentils. Jacob tricked his father into giving him the blessing so Esau’s anger and jealously has been handed down through the generations. The covenant promises are through the lineage of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and that was God’s plan.

So, we come to the story of Purim where Haman, the Agagite is a descendant of King Agag of the Amalekites and Haman wanted the Jews in Persia to bow down to him as Prime Minister. When Mordecai refused, he got King Xerxes 1 to write a decree to have them exterminated in all the empire on 13 Adar 356 BCE. But Queen Esther (Hadassah), secretly a Jew, was asked by Mordecai to intervene. She asked all Jews to fast and pray for 3 days and then she went to the King.

When Haman’s plot was revealed, the King instructed Haman to be hung on the same gallows he’d constructed for Mordecai. As decrees could not be cancelled, the King instructed Esther and Mordecai to right another decree to reverse the effect of the first one. This meant Jews could defend themselves and even pre-emptively strike those they believed intended to kill them. The threat was eliminated and the feast of Purim instituted to celebrate.

We come back to the Shabbat Zachor strike on Iran which in some ways was pre-emptive and in some ways defensive as Iran has been responsible for funding and training many proxies to attack Israel – Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and militias in Iraq, Syria and the West Bank (Judea/Samaria.)

Israel was on the brink of signing an Abrahamic Accord with Saudi Arabia when Hamas attacked on October 7 with the aim of blowing the accord out of the water. It would have been a historic breakthrough in relations in the Middle East. Israel is now on the brink of a new breakthrough with the weakening and possible demise of the Iranian regime. Interestingly, it was the 47thPresident of the United States that has brought 47 years of Islamic terrorist rule in Iran to the brink of collapse.

I want to make two final points:

  1. It was Persia, ancient Iran, which produced Cyrus and other kings who enabled the Jewish people to return from Babylonian captivity and financed the rebuilding of Jerusalem and the temple. We need a modern-day Cyrus in Iran who will favour Israel and may even sign the Abraham Accords or similar with it.
  2. I take the commandment of Deuteronomy 25:17-19 about remembering the evil of Amalek and eradicating it from under heaven about being a call to us, Jews and Christians, to obliterate the spirit of Amalek which is a spirit of violent antisemitism. While radical Islam is one manifestation of it, it predates Islam by many centuries.

PROPHETIC PRAYER AND VISION OF JESUS AND HIS FOOTPRINTS AND HANDS ON BONDI BEACH 25.1.2026 BY PS NORMAN MILLER

Lord, even though we saw what took place before Christmas, we saw what took place on BondI. But Lord, I pray in this place, in this lake of Galilee, from this city. I pray Lord that there will be a catch because of the network and the influence of that network will carry and it will carry and it will draw because it will be a network Lord of people that you’ll bring together and Lord that it will be strengthened in your word in your foundation. It will be people like heart like mind. Though there are differences, but Lord, it’s you that brings about and makes a difference because of your word and the promise of your word. It will be a people of influence, importantly godly influence that you’ll bring into this network of ministries that love you, that serve you, that honor you, that will stand shoulder to  shoulder Because there will be much more that you will do.

And the influences, Lord, that right now that you’re calling them to come together because it’s you that will bring them together. And Lord, we pray that even as the disciples, they were in the boat, they didn’t exactly need another boat or a bigger boat because they had you as the lordship and the kingship and you were steering them and you were healing them and you were restoring them. And as that restoration came, Lord, they were built because of you and the word of your foundations and the strength of your foundations. The word of the Lord of Jerusalem came strongly into their hearts and into their spirits and they were able to carry out as that network of people that you have joined together to bring in such a harvest to reach out. You were drawing them, Lord, for a time.

And even as the catch and they were able to come together and have that meal together, have that breakfast together with you that you will draw that network of people that right now that you’re speaking to the hearts to. And Lord, what took place on the beach of Bondi there? You will establish that beach head ministry. And Lord, even as I’m praying, I I looked on the front of my Bible and it gave that scripture of all the words of footprints. When you saw only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you. And you will call us to carry the task that you’ve given us. Your promises are yes and amen. Your covenant promises are yes and amen.

Lord, right now that you speaking to the hearts of men and women even in this nation. And Lord, even right now, I can just see your footprints in the sand deeply printed. In the sands of that beach and your hands, Lord, as we have heard the miracles that you’ve done. In the sadness of that tragedy, you will turn around for your good, the saving of many souls for your kingdom. And so Lord, the response that will come from a people that you you are speaking to right now.

When we hear them say, “The Lord spoke to me and I said, “Here I am, Lord. Send me. Here I am, Lord. Use me. That will be the response of a heart of obedience that will hear the wave and move of your Holy Spirit, the wave of your glory. And Lord, I know that you will position men and women that will come on board. And as the surfboard goes out and is ready to catch that wave, we ask and pray, Lord. There will be those that will respond and they will say, “The Lord spoke to me.” The confirming word. Because out of this place of devastation, the goodness of God will come through and shine forth. the light of the world. Shine your glory. Shine your presence. Heavy way. Heavy weight. Heavy weight. And in that song that we all know so well this little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine.
