Join us online as we celebrate 30 years of God’s faithfulness and the journey of the Tabernacle of David Cairns and the Centre for International Reconciliation & Peace.
For three decades, this ministry has been involved in reconciliation, worship, prayer, teaching, hosting conferences in Parliament House Canberra and overseas and building relationships locally, nationally and internationally. We are grateful for the many people and ministries God has brought across our path and for the opportunities we have had to serve and build bridges of friendship and reconciliation around the world.
🎥 Launch of our 30-Year Documentary
The evening will include the launch of a video documentary telling the story of our 30 years — remembering the people, places, ministries and significant moments that have shaped our journey. We thank David Jack the videographer.
We will also hear presentations and messages from ministries around the world with whom we have worked over the years, sharing memories, encouragement and reflections on the journey.
Our Anniversary Scriptures
Two Scriptures have been especially significant to us as we look back over these 30 years:
“Ask of Me, and I will give you the nations for your inheritance.” — Psalm 2:8
“You also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house…” — 1 Peter 2:5 (We have built people and the kingdom rather than a local church though we do have a local church in Cairns)
Together, these Scriptures reflect two important aspects of our journey: a heart for the nations and the building of people and relationships as living stones in God’s temple
📅 Event Details
Friday 16 October 2026 6:00pm–9:00pm AEST Online via Zoom
This will be a relaxed anniversary celebration — an opportunity to give thanks, remember the past, celebrate the present and look towards the future.
We have some exciting news in that Pastor Norman plans to hand the Declaration (which is the topic of this zoom seminar) personally to Prime Minister Netanyahu in Jerusalem if it can be arranged. He plans to also gift him an extra large boomerang which will have Australian Aboriginal and Israeli motifs on it, in a separate project, to Netanyahu at the same time. If you can help with finances for this project, it would be much appreciated. We hope to time it for the Indigenous Embassy Jerusalem meeting in Jerusalem 4-5 Nov 2025.
The zoom shown here is Part 2 of 29.9.25 AEST because the recording stopped after 10mins and was turned on again, meaning we have Part 1 and Part 2.
Speakers Norman Miller, Aboriginal Australian, Co-founder of Indigenous Friends of Israel International Foundation, Dr Isaac Balbin, President Lions of Zion for 29.9.25 AEST with many wonderful commentators.
Norman and Isaac also spoke at North American zoom session joined by Ps Charles Huang, Taiwanese-American, Founder & CEO of Roots and Branches International. Commentary by Nyunggai Warren Mundine, Australian Aboriginal businessman and Chair CPAC. This is the LINK.
This is the link to sign the petition. Please encourage many others to do so. It can be signed by individuals and organisations. Tribes can be added. Jewish people are Indigenous to Israel and may join their Indigenous family in the Pacific Rim to sign the Declaration. No one can see your name on it at the moment and we will contact you before any names are published. SIGN HERE

26 OCTOBER — NATIONAL RALLY Australians Against Antisemitism 📍 Across the Nation – Stand United! 💙✡ One People. One Voice. No Hate.
A Declaration of Solidarity with Israel from the Indigenous and Diverse Communities of the Pacific Rim
We recognize the Jewish people as the Indigenous stewards of the land of Israel, their ancestral homeland, where their history, culture, and spiritual legacy have been rooted for millennia. This indigeneity resonates deeply with our own connections to land, tradition, and resilience, forging a sacred bond between our communities and the Jewish people. We honor Israel not only as a homeland but as a beacon of morality, kindness, and grace—a nation that exemplifies the highest standards of humanity in the face of unparalleled challenges.
Indigenous peoples of the Pacific Rim not only have a shared indigeneity with Jewish people but the shared experience of tribal societies, close family relations, attachment to land and closeness to nature. We also have shared experiences of colonisation, dispersion, ethnic cleansing, persecution, discrimination, marginalisation, trauma and the need for resilience.
Despite this, our cultures and spirituality remain strong. We applaud the Jewish people that they have been able to retain their religion and culture, revive their language and decolonise their land with the rebirth of the state of Israel in 1948 forming the only democracy in the Middle East. See more https://indigenousfriendsofisrael.org/sign-the-declaration/
Norman and Barbara have have continued to have a number of successful meetings with state and commonwealth education authorities over our School Antisemitism Education Project. We are in the process of discussions with a number of schools as well. So please if you know any primary schools that would be interested in becoming part of a pilot program to test it before it gets rolled out nationally, please let us know. Also, if you know of any funding options, please let us know as we are all working voluntarily including our expert curriculum writer Shoshana Linnane.
Gofundme for Schools Antisemitism Education
There is currently no dedicated, age-appropriate antisemitism education in Australian primary schools—only optional anti racism or holocaust or multicultural education. Please help us while we continue to develop this and work on its implementaton. See HERE
Our expert curriculum writer Shoshana Linnane has developed 10-week modules for Grades 1-2 and 5-6. These lessons use the story of a 7-year-old Jewish refugee girl from the kindertransport during World War II to help children understand what it means to be displaced, excluded, or vulnerable. The modules foster empathy, compassion, and respect for diversity through activities like art, music, and drama, and align with the national curriculum. We want all children to grow up in safe, inclusive communities where they learn to treat others fairly and without discrimination.
If you believe in building a future where every child feels valued and racism has no place, please consider supporting our fundraiser. Even a small contribution or sharing this opportunity to help would make a difference.
Please get involved! We need your help!
We would love to connect with you and help you support Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East, working against calls for its destruction and the genocide of its people. These calls are advancing at great pace since October 7. Indigenous Friends of Israel formed in July 2017 because of concerns over Australia’s policy towards Israel. Since then we have gone international as antisemitism is international and isan ancient hatred. The forces standing against Israel also oppose Western and/or Judeo-Christian values which have helped us achieve a society with social cohesion and the rule of law.
Please help us take a stand against antisemitism, and for a community where all are valued and safe. There are many opportunities to use your passion, gifting and skills as avolunteer whether you are a person of faith or not. United we stand and divided we fall. Please complete the form to volunteer.
Are you good at creating or sharing social media, fundraising, administration, film and video making, government advocacy, newsletters, speaking, representing a geographical area, organising zoom meetings or do you have other giftings or talents that you can use to bless the Lord, the Jewish people, and Israel. It doesn’t matter where you live in the world, you can get involved. Check it out here.

Election Aftermath: Where to now re Australia’s stand on Israel and the Jewish people?”
Zoom by Indigenous Friends of Israel International Monday May 26 7.30pm. Register for FREE HERE
Speakers are Roz Mendelle, co-director of the Qld Jewish Collective and co-director of Minority Impact Coalition who was very active in the election. Ps Norman Miller, co-founder of IFI Int, who ran as an Independent in the federal election, will be the other speaker. The next newsletter will give you the flyer and registration link. Save the date and let your friends know.
One concern among many in the election result is that the Liberals lost the election resoundingly. They had accepted all 15 recommendations coming out of the Antisemitism Summit in Sydney that we attended earlier this year. The Labor party has not accepted any of them and is anti-Israel.
Anniversary of Proclamation of Rebirth of State of Israel
On May 14, 1948, David Ben-Gurion, the head of the Jewish Agency, proclaimed the establishment of the State of Israel. U.S. President Harry S. Truman recognized the new nation on the same day.
In 1949, the UN officially recognized Israel as a member state on May 11th through General Assembly Resolution 273.
This video gives the story of Ben-Gurion and the rebirth of the state of Israel. See it HERE
Southland of Holy Spirit Declaration by Quiros
On the 14th May 1606, on Pentecost, Pedro Fernandes de Queirós (Quiros) the Portuguese explorer under the command of the King of Spain made a declaration. He thought he was on the great unknown southern continent now known as Australia but he was on the island of Espiritu Santo in Vanuatu.
He claimed everything south of that point for the Holy Spirit, which arguably includes Australia, NZ and the Pacific. He called it “Terra Australis del Espiritu Santo” or Southland of the Holy Spirit. Norman and I have stood at the very point he declared it with local Christians and spoken at events there and conferences in Espirito Santo.
See my book which tells the amazing story of Quiros’ adventure and ours and the story of the local people.HERE
PUBLIC RELATIONS CAMPAIGN AGAINST ANTISEMITISM AND ANTI-ISRAEL BIAS
We thank those who have donated to our Public Relations Campaign Against Antisemitism. We have closed the Gofundme campaign which was not well supported but it is still possible to donate via our website as it will be a long-term campaign and never has it been more needed.
We are continuing with our monthly zoom seminar series and daily social media reaching out worldwide to counter lies re current events and history. We also have a schools education program preparing materials for primary school.
EDUCATION CAMPAIGN AGAINST ANTISEMITISM & DISINFORMATION ABOUT ISRAEL
CAMPAIGN OVERVIEW – COMPASSION AND EDUCATION In a world where misinformation and prejudice often overshadow truth, it’s crucial to elevate voices that stand for justice, compassion, and education. The Indigenous Friends of Israel International is dedicated to fostering understanding, combating disinformation, and supporting the Jewish community both locally and internationally.

ISRAEL HUMANITARIAN APPEAL By Centre for International Reconciliation and Peace
Help Israel recover from Oct 7 bloodbath and its aftermath by donating to ministries run by Ps Avi and Chaya Mizrachi of Dugit Ministries Tel Aviv (left) and Ps Howard and Randi Bass of Yeshua’s Inheritance Congregation Beer Sheva (right with Millers on Oct 30 2017 before 100th anniversary of Beer Sheva battle).
There are thousands of Jewish people displaced by the terror that occurred on Oct 7 with their homes and communities destroyed. Some of those affected were Holocaust survivors. Many just left with the clothes on their backs and are in need of help. Lives have been turned upside down. It is not safe yet to return and rebuild and probably won’t be for a long time.
For any donation from Australians over $70 AUD, you can receive a copy of Ps Munganbana Norman Miller’s painting of From Mourning into Dancing based on Psalm 30 and Ps Barbara Miller’s book William Cooper, Gentle Warrior: Standing Up for Australian Aborigines and Persecuted Jews. The flier above done for us by our friend Tim Jack, shows you how to donate i.e. www.reconciliationandpeace.org/store.

Book trailer – Voice Treaty Truth: Has the Christian Voice Been Heard?
What is happening in Australian race relations is a mirror of what is happening in the Western world. Australia is currently divided 60/40 over a recent referendum to enshrine an Indigenous representative body in the constitution which would be a Voice to parliament and the executive government.
There was pushback about creating a race-based body in the constitution and the inequality of having two classes of citizens. This is likely to continue with division over the need for a treaty and debating about the truth of Australia’s history. This book, Voice Treaty Truth, examines both sides of the argument in a passionate and balanced way and looks at the issues from political, historical, and spiritual viewpoints.

ANNIVERSARY OF KRISTALLNACHT ZOOM MEETING HOSTED BY INDIGENOUS FRIENDS OF ISRAEL 9.11.23
Hear Ps Avi Mizrachi of Dugit Ministries Tel Aviv and Ps Howard Bass of Yeshua’s Inheritance Beer Sheva share at 6.30pm Brisbane time, 7.30pm Sydney, 7pm SA & NT, 4.30pm WA, and 10.30am Israel time.
The photo is of Germans passing a Jewish shop with windows broken during Kristallnacht 9-10 Nov 1938. It was the start of the Holocaust. It is taken from my book Shattered Lives Broken Dreams.
It is with sadness that we tell you that 1930’s Nazi Germany is here again, this time with Islamo-fascism, hatred of Jews and rampant antisemitism, On October 7, the hope of Never Again was shattered. With 1400 Jews tortured and slaughtered, many in their beds or safe rooms, it was the highest number of Jews murdered in one day since the Holocaust.
The October 7 barbaric onslaught on civilians in Israel has sparked a blood lust around the world to annihilate the Jewish state and Jews wherever they can be found in the world. We see it on the streets of western nations like Australia, the US, the UK and Europe
We are calling this zoom meeting on the anniversary of Kristallancht or the Night ot the Broken Glass in Germany where Jewish homes and businesses had their windows broken, synagogues were burned , over 90 Jews were killed and thousands were forced to wear stars of David and marched to a concentration camp.
This time, Jewish families were burnt alive in Israel, Jewish businesses are being vandalised in the United States, Jewish diplomats are wearing stars of David at the UN and Jewish children in Australia can’t wear uniforms to school for fear of being attacked. Actual attacks on Jews are occurring around the world. Jewish university students in Australia are having to sit their exams segregated in safe places.
In my book If I Survive about Lena Goldstein, she talks about how she experienced the attacks on Jews by other students at university in Poland and she and other Jews were not able to complete their studies.
Incredibly, Israel is being blamed for what has happened. It is a classic blame the victim narrative. Worse it is a narrative of cultural Marxism where the Marxists talk about the “useful idiots” in academia, the media and government (even churches) who swallow their ideology that there is only one way of looking at the world – oppressors and the oppressed. Despite being the most multicultural nation in the world, Israel is painted as the white oppressor of coloured Palestinians. It is painted as occupiers of Gaza even though it pulled out in 2005.
We grieve about all innocent victims of this Israel-Hamas war to root out the terrorists – those slaughtered mercilessly in Israel and those civilians killed by Israeli retaliation in Gaza including those used as human shields by Hamas. We know Israel tries hard to avoid civilian casualties but Hamas wins the media war at the toll.
We pray for innocents to be spared and for Christian Arabs in Israel and Arab lands to be safe as well. We pray for God’s angels to be stationed on the borders of Israel to protect her against Iran and its proxies – Hezbollah in Lebanon, proxies in Syria and Iraq in the north, the Palestinian Authority in Judea and Samaria (West Bank) Hamas and Islamic Jihad in Gaza and the Houthis from Yemen firing on Eilat in the south.
We pray Lord that You would comfort your people in Israel and worldwide from the grief of loss of loved ones and fear from threats to their very existence and heal the wounded. I woke up the other morning with the words “existential threat.” Israel and the Jews worldwide are fighting for their very existence, their survival as a people and as the only Jewish nation in the world, the only democracy in the Middle East. And we stand with Israel. Isaiah 40:1-2 “Comfort, comfort My people,” says your God. “With gentle words, tender and kind …
Please join us Thursday night and stand with Israel as well. Zechariah 2:8 says:
“For thus says the Lord of hosts, “After glory He has sent me against the nations which plunder you, for he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye’.”

RECONCILIATION ROUNDTABLE BY ZOOM 2.11.23
We had an inspiring time when Ps Norman Miller called a Reconciliation Roundtable by zoom on Thursday 19 October followed up by one on 2 Nov. It was called to discuss and pray for strategies to move forward in healing and reconciliation after the Voice Referendum divided our nation and brought grieving and anger to many of the Yes Campaigners. Many useful strategies came up and the recording is below. We will inform you of the next one soon.
We all have the message and ministry of reconciliation 2 Cor 5:17-21. Gal 3:28 tells us we are all one in Christ no matter what our race, gender, income or social status.

There are so many prophecies and they are not all transcribed yet. We may later add a list of decrees as that is a key feature of our ministry.
We have had some awesome video greetings and tributes come in from around the world and will prepare a PowerPoint with messages. We are blessed to have many joining us from Israel, the Middle East, Africa, Singapore, Malaysia, PNG, NZ and Australia on the zoom meeting. The time zone doesn’t suit for UK and USA but we’ve included a message here from Ps Larry and Anne Hamilton USA as they were the first ones to send one in and we appreciate their time with us greatly.
This October, we celebrate 25 years since we planted the Pentecostal Church of Reconciliation in Cairns in which became the Tabernacle of David local congregation and the Centre for International Reconciliation and Peace para-church ministry, the latter being launched in 1998.
We are celebrating with a service today at our usual time of 4pm and then by a zoom meeting at 7pm Sydney time on 1 Nov so our friends from around Australia and overseas can join us to celebrate. Email us for the zoom link – cfirp@bigpond.com.
We would like those who have journeyed with us over the years to attend the zoom if you can. Whether you can attend or not, please send us a few words of your memories or testimonies and a photo of yourself so that we can make a PowerPoint of these. Short video messages are also welcome. Please please send any photos you may have of conferences we’ve hosted that you attended or meetings we spoke at that you attended. We would like to record some of our history.
PLEASE SEND US PHOTOS, VIDEOS, TESTIMONIES, MEMORIES FOR OUR 25TH!!

MESSAGE FROM PS LARRY AND ANNE HAMILTON USA FOR 25TH
In 2006 Larry and I were in Cairns between mission trips to PNG and Papua. Walking downtown, we visited an aboriginal art gallery (Munganbana) to enjoy the paintings. The proprietor (Norman) came up and asked us where we were from: America. His next statement was, “Do you know this year is the centennial of the Azuza Street Revival the Holy Spirit brought to Los Angeles a hundred years ago?” We were flabbergasted that he would know that, and assume we wanted to know! He went on to explain that they were hosting an international conference to commemorate that and the 400thanniversary of de Quiros claiming the Great South Land of the Holy Spirit over Vanuatu. Then Norman invited us to church at Tabernacle of David.
From then on, TOD was our church and Norman and Barbara were our pastors. Being a small congregation, everyone including us went to work on the Bethany Gate/All Pacific Prayer Assembly. Your website says 2,000 attended. (Norman revised this to 3,000 because of the huge number of people who came for the free nights over 10 days, not always the same people.) Wow! I remember it was held at the sports arena. After setting up, Larry volunteered to stay all night and sleep there to guard the sound equipment.
The conference and the attendees made such an impact on us that the next year we flew into Port Moresby from Alotau, PNG, to attend APPA. Prophetess Barbara spoke on making declarations and using the King’s signet ring. Prime Minister Somare publicly signed a covenant pledging PNG to worship no other God but Yahweh.
We were used to celebrating Passover in our congregation in USA, but we were just growing in understanding our Hebrew roots beyond the basic commandments. Your connection to Israel and end-time prophecy really helped bring things together for us. By the time we made the long sail back to USA in 2011, I was writing Bible lessons on the subject!
TOD worship was another new thing to us, and we so appreciate all the Millers for bringing us together spiritually and presenting us to God with your musical gifts. Back in America we found a small movement had started, and almost immediately connected with another congregation with harp and bowl worship that follows the Feasts.
Thanks for the newsletters and books. We miss the friends we made through the church. Next time we get together we won’t need a boat and an airplane to get there! Maranatha!
Here are the people who came to send us off on our last voyage from Cairns.L to R Larry Hamilton, Sarah Kenny Pascoe, Anne Hamilton, Norman Miller and Wallace Pau
