In media the power of film and TV can be a great thing but it can also beguile and deceive. So much portrayed through media the arts is set up against the church.

Those active agents fighting this influence are few but tenacious, we will explore and discuss them. What can one person do? If we are to be a light unto the nations it starts with each of us in our daily walk to reflect the characteristics of Jesus.”

Glen Sebasio on guitar and Ps Norman Miller leading worship at Lifestream church Canberra for an Australia Day prayer conference in 2019 that we hosted. In 2020, we hosted an Australia Day conference at Grace church Canberra. We have also led a Tabernacle of David workshop at Lifestream in 2018.

Norman believes the worship at the Church & Cultural Challenges conference will bring such a presence of God that people won’t want to go home afterwards but will want to stay in the presence. 

He has Acts 16:25-26 on his heart:

And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.  And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.

Be prepared for an earthquake that will set the prisoners free. When the jailer woke up, he was going to commit suicide as he thought the prisoners had fled, but Paul led him and his family to the Lord instead. Be prepared for an awakening where people wake up from the world’s woke agenda and we have a revival!

Norman and Barbara were blessed to speak recently at the Gold Coast at a meeting of Chinese pastors and leaders from the Gold Coast and Brisbane. It was good to catch up with our friends Judy Chiem, Debbie Tien and Monica Peng there.

It was a blessing to attend the Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast at the Gold Coast 3-4 July with Albert & Heli Veksler and team from the Knesset in Israel and MPs from the Pacific and Australia. We thank Jamie and Jillian Pryor, Jane and Tim O’Neill and Dale and Ruth Smith and others for all the work they did organising.

It was special that the Israel Ambassador to Australia Amir Maimon spoke at events with Jews and Christians in Cairns and Townsville at events afterwards and that Rabbi Riesenberg from Melbourne spoke at the Cairns event. Norman and Barbara were blessed to speak in Cairns and Townsville on the Indigenous Friends of Israel along with national leaders from Bridges for Peace, Christian Friends of Israel & others. CROSS REMOVED CALVARY HOSPITAL MAKE SUBMISSION BEFORE CLOSING DATE TOMORROW 17.7.23

The cross at Calvary hospital Canberra being removed by ACT government after forced takeover because they don’t do abortions. Also the Catholic hospice Canberra taken over by the ACT government because they don’t do euthanasia. We need to protect our religious freedom in Australia and faith-based institutions. 
Warwick Marsh and the Canberra Declaration team are urging us to sign a submission re a Senate enquiry which has to be in by close of business Monday 17 July – tomorrow. Not only is it an attack on the sacredness of life but It is an abuse of property rights and an abuse of proper parliamentary procedure and consultation.

MESSAGE FROM CINDY MCGARVIE, NATIONAL DIRECTOR YOUTH FOR CHRIST RE ABOVE CONFERENCE

I’m looking forward to the conference in July! In my session, I’ll be presenting a perspective on what I see happening within our culture in regard to our children and young people — a battle for their very souls.

There is a term known as ‘the fog of war’ and it refers to the situation when a military suddenly finds itself in a battle where they have no idea of the location and capability of the enemy, nor the location and capabilities of friendlies. The solution to this is to quickly gather intelligence so that you know what to do. Intelligence reduces the ‘fog of war’—it helps to sort out the truth.

My goal is to provide some valuable intelligence for the spiritual battle that has been intensifying rapidly to equip Christian leaders and parents to fight for our children.

Rise up mighty men and women of valour just like Gideon when the Lord allowed the Midianites to oppress Israel because they did evil in the Lord’s eyes. When they cried out to the Lord, he chose Gideon to save them.  

Judges 6:12 “And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him, and said to him, “The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor! ..v14 Then the Lord turned to him and said, “Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you?”

The NIV says “mighty warrior” and the NLT says “mighty hero.”

Gideon basically said, Who me, I can’t do it? And the angel basically said, Yes you because I will be with you.

v15-16 So he said to Him, “O my Lord, how can I save Israel? Indeed my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.”

And the Lord said to him, “Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man.”

We have done evil in the sight of the Lord in Australia but the Lord is raising up men like Gideon who are brave enough to make a stand, tear down idols and fight.

Also, the Lord is raising women like Esther who have come into position for such a time as to stand before the authorities to plead a just case. The Lord is calling us to free our people from the ensnarement of the anti-Christian culture we live in. We can’t do it but we can be the Lord’s hands and feet, eyes and voice as He calls and enables.

Why do you need to come to Canberra?

There is intolerance of Christian views and freedom of speech and association in the public square. They would not dare to do this to other religions. Discrimination against Christians in the workplace, schools, sports etc.

The ACT government’s forced takeover of the Calvary hospital in Canberra because of its pro-life stand. This threatens faith-run hospitals and schools across the nation setting a precedent

“The right of parents to educate their children in accordance with their religious beliefs in Australia has been dealt a serious blow with the release of the Australian Law Reform Commission’s consultation paper,” says the Human Rights Law Alliance. (https://www.hrla.org.au/alrc_pushes_to_axe_religious_freedom_protections)

Hundreds of babies who survive abortion are left to die without medical attention which is a disgrace. Some MPS have put forward the Human Rights (Children Born Alive Protection) Bill 2022. The Canberra Declaration recently gave verbal evidence and presented over 90,000 signatories in support of the Bill to the Senate Standing Committee on Community Affairs Inquiry.

MP Moira Deeming has been vilified and expelled from the Victorian Liberal Party room for standing up for women’s spaces in toilets and sports etc.

The voice referendum is looking to enshrine in the Australian constitution group rights in a new chapter that is based on race/Indigeneity/ heredity which would create two classes of citizens. We currently have chapters for the 3 tiers of government – the legislature, the executive, and the judiciary so this will change how our nation is governed. However, we need to Close the Gap of Indigenous disadvantage and recognize Indigenous people in the constitution which can be done without the voice which would be entrenched in the constitution with details to be worked out after the public vote.

Federal government policies that promote the religion of climate change are destroying our fossil fuel industry and driving up the cost of living causing poverty, people to lose their homes and businesses, divorce, and mental health issues

The youth in our nation have so many challenges as the Judeo-Christian values in our nation have been challenged and mocked. The media and entertainment industry is complicit in much of this.

Shavuot, or the Feast of Weeks, is a major Jewish holiday and Biblical feast that occurs on the sixth day of the Hebrew month of Sivan. In the Bible, Shavuot marked the wheat harvest in the Land of Israel. It is celebrated worldwide by Jews and Christians who are aware of the Jewish roots of the Christian faith. This year it is celebrated from sundown 25 May 2023 – sundown 27 May. As well as celebrating it in our Tabernacle of David on Sat 27 May at 4pm, Norman and Barbara will be sharing by zoom for the Pentecost Sunday service for Ps Jack Yeo and Emmanuel Blessings Christian Centre in Sydney with their service starting at 9.30am. Passover with Cairns Jewish Community 27.3.21
Passover message by Ps Barbara Miller on 27.3.21 at our service before joining the Jewish community. We have been celebrating Passover (Pesach) for nearly 25 years now. Last year we hosted the Passover Service or Pesach Seder by zoom and many joined us from around Australia. Please excuse the background noise made by our fans.

Our GAP Network has been earnestly praying for our nation and its government as all the issues in Australian society re the treatment of women have been weaponised by the Opposition and the media against our Christian Prime Minister who himself is a family man of good character. Please keep him and his family in prayer and if you want to contact us re the prayers and decrees we have been using to use them yourself, please do.

VISION

I sense that we are at a real tipping point in our nation and the scales could go one way or the other. We really are at a time of crisis in our nation. I was seeing a precipice like our nation was on the precipice. It is a very precarious position. Our prayers are critical so please pray earnestly.

PART OF DECREE

I decree a divine reversal of all legislation and policies of all governments, and policies of all businesses and institutions in Australia that are anti-Christian including those relating to abortion, euthanasia and anti-family values. I decree reversal to the mindsets and hearts of those who develop and maintain anti-Godly legislation and policies in Australia. I decree reversal to the spirits behind this legislation and these policies.

I agree with scripture and say “the Lord rebuke you” (Jude 1:9)

I decree Jeremiah 1:10 over Australia that as His spiritual government, we will fulfil His word – “See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.” I decree that those who oppose You Lord in Australia who are in positions of influence in any sphere will have the opportunity to repent and reverse course or be removed. I decree they will be replaced by those who will build and plant into Australia a love for You, revival and transformation.

Speak God’s Word Into Your House by Ps Norman Miller 13.2.21

This boomerang that Norman made and presented to Parliament on 27.11.13 2013 with about 360 signatures on the back asking for constitutional change is now housed in the Museum of Australian Democracy in Canberra (the old Parliament House) after being donated by Norman. In this photo, he presented it to Warren Entsch MP, Bronwyn Bishop, then Speaker of the House, Ken Wyatt MP and now Minister for Indigenous Australians. Norman was campaigning for removal of racism from the Australian constitution as well as constitutional recognition. The Uluru statement for “voice treaty truth” is a good one but it has yet to be implemented and there is disagreement between Indigenous people as to whether the voice should be legislated or enshrined in the constitution. The issue of removing racism from the constitution appears to have lost momentum with the emphasis on the voice. Please keep these issues in prayer.

AUSTRALIA DAY PRAYER FOR INDIGENOUS LEADERS

As well as having Indigenous people from the various states praying for our nation, Norman prayed for Indigenous leaders.

Norman prayed for a double portion anointing to come on Indigenous leaders. He also shared in summary, “Ps 118:24 This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. We were born for such a time as this. Can a nation be born again in a day? Isa 66. Yes, Israel was and so now is Australia. We are going to have an Awakening. The Lord also spoke to me out of Ex 20:20 where Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning.” And we have had a year of testing with covid-19.

I believe the next 7 years are critical for our nation 2021-2028. Israel will turn 80 in 2028. Moses was 80 years old when he confronted Pharaoh. We need to free the 7 mountains from the spirit of Pharaoh and Babylon. First Nations people need to align with the Lion of the tribe of Judah who is roaring. We have not sold our birthright. The 7 mountains also need to be delivered from the spirit of Edom and Esau. Obadiah 1:21 says “Deliverers will go up on Mount Zion to govern the mountains of Esau. And the kingdom will be the LORD’s.”
