Indigenous Friends of Israel Respond to the UN Vote on Israel-Hamas War

“Each-way Albo has turned Australia into an each-way state trying to appease the antisemites and appear to be friendly to Israel at the same time. Chamberlain has shown us that the path of appeasement is dangerous as it just emboldens those with no moral conscience,” said co-founders of Indigenous Friends of Israel, Norman and Barbara Miller.

There can be no peace with an enemy that wants to destroy us with its genocidal claims of “From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free.” This calls for the annihilation of the only Jewish state in the world and driving all its people into the sea. Only the hateful or naïve would agree with it.

Indigenous Friends of Israel was responding to the UN non-binding vote for an immediate ceasefire in the Hamas-Israel war. Australia was one of 153 nations who voted in favour of it, while the US was one of 10 nations who voted against it, and the UK was one of 23 nations who abstained.

We agree with Israel’s ambassador to Australia, Amir Maimon, who said he finds it difficult to understand how Australia can support Israel’s right to defend its people from terrorist aggression, while also voting in support of a ceasefire that will embolden Hamas.

“This war can only end with Hamas being totally defeated and the liberation of all our hostages,” he said.

Hostages Must Be Returned

The Millers said, “Shame on the Australian government voting for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war at the UN and shame on the UN. This is siding with a terrorist group rather than a nation legitimately defending itself against the most horrific terror act on October 7 and the repeated statements by Hamas leaders that they will continue to perpetrate as many attacks like October 7 as possible.

Indigenous Friends of Israel founders Norman and Barbara Miller condemn the ignorance, racism, and antisemitism of the Greens MPs in the Australian Senate in recent weeks and of the Greens’ mayoral candidate for Brisbane, Jonathan Sriranganathan.

The Millers wrote: “Mr Sriranganathan created a post calling for Zionists and Nazis to be excluded from a protest rally he was calling to scrap the Gabba Olympics. Was this in the name of inclusion which the Greens usually call for?

For someone who hopes to be Lord Mayor of Brisbane to be equating Zionism and Nazism shows political naivety and poor judgment and he should make an apology to the Jewish community of Brisbane as has been called for by the Qld Jewish Board of Deputies.

SHOFAR, MENORAHS & 2 SILVER TRUMPETS

We praise the Lord for His many blessings. Norman and Thomas blow the shofar before every service we have on Saturdays and Thomas with either Judy or Debbii blow the 2 silver trumpets on special occasions. The Hannukah menorah is not on this table but 2 other menorahs are, along with a conch shell, and a small ark of the covenant is behind the grapes. There is also a white crown just behind the candle holder. This table was not set up in any particular way and I couldn’t resist taking a photo with my phone as I walked past it. So much here precious to us and the Lord. There is also a 25 there which lights up. We used it to celebrate 25 years of ministry last year.

HEALING THE COMMONWEALTH

You may remember that at the Healing the Commonwealth prayer event on 27.6.22, prayer leaders from Britain and the Commonwealth nations joined together in a time of fresh repentance and forgiveness for how the UK treated commonwealth nations. Norman was asked, along with other nations, to share testimonies of past reconciliation events between Britain and Australia that we have been involved with since 1997. All continents were represented in the 27.6.22 event. Brian Pickering of the Australian Prayer Network lead the 1999 Reconciliation Tour of England by the Australian team and spoke before Norman. Norman and Barbara were part of the team that went to England in 1999. Before that, they hosted an international conference on reconciliation in Cairns, Australia in 1998 at which Brian and the British team, led by Brian Mills, spoke. The Millers were also involved in the 2 Chron 7:14 prayer event led by Ps Ben Gray and Brian Pickering in Uluru in 1999.

An anointed follow-up event called Blessing the Commonwealth was held by the World Prayer Centre in Birmingham, England before the Commonwealth Games which is currently being held there. We could not be there but joined with Malaysian and Indonesian pastors and intercessors the same day.

Praying for Revival in Borneo & Releasing Healing from the Commonwealth over Malaysia by Pastors Norman & Barbara Miller. The Millers were invited to join Malaysian and Indonesian Christians and lead a session 16.7.22. Norman is Aboriginal Australian but has some Malay heritage.

It was a re-enactment of the protest by William Cooper and the Australian Aborigines’ League re Kristallnacht, the start of the Holocaust. Abe Schwarz, the Melbourne Holocaust Museum and Barbara Miller organised the event. It coincided with the launch of Barbara’s book called Wiliam Cooper, Gentle Warrior.

Aboriginal Christian leader, William Cooper is the father of NAIDOC, initiating it on 28 January 1940 as an annual Aboriginal Sunday supported by the churches.

Fifteen years later, in 1955, the date changed to the first Sunday in July and became known as National Aborigines Day. In 1957, the National Aborigines Day Observance Committee (NADOC) was formed whose goal was to promote awareness of Aboriginal people, their cultures and their plight. In 1989, the title changed to NAIDOC Week to include Torres Strait Islanders in the national celebrations. So, we owe it to William Cooper who got the ball rolling.

STREET MUSIC AND BREAD MINISTRY – REVIVAL IS COMING

Norman has been worshipping on the Cairns Esplanade now 3 nights a week for 5 years and has seen people renew their faith, dance in the streets, pour out wine or throw away packets of cigarettes. God is impacting the city of Cairns and tourists through this ministry. Videos of him singing are being shared around the world and touching unknown lives. The bread ministry continues to bless the needy as well.

Norman is also an Aboriginal artist and is donating a large painting to Rosie’s Friends on the Street who feed the homeless. They are fundraising for a new van. His father Barclay had a great heart for the homeless and would receive calls in the middle of the night from homeless people who needed food or blankets and he would always get up and help out from his own cupboard. On Monday the 13^th of December I saw in a vision a woman was trying to open the Pandora box. (the Lord spoke to me and He said this Pandora box represents the body of Christ in Australia). The lid was open a little bit and I saw all evil was trying to come out of it. I shut the lid with my wrist and locked it with the key. (Please pray.)

Barbara’s comment – Norman and I have been very concerned about the way different views about covid 19 are dividing the church and the misinformation that is doing the rounds. We can’t let the enemy of our souls get a foothold. We had decided to put out again messages we shared in March 2020, very early in the pandemic, which we believe are still relevant. Lilian’s vision confirmed this for us because one of the things I found out about just after I published the March article below is that the Wuhan lab that the virus may have escaped from (one theory) had a sign outside saying “Pandora’s Box.” I wish I had kept a photo of it at the time. However, an internet search will show current discussions are “was it people or nature who opened Pandora’s box?” and US officials being warned not to investigate the lab leak theory or they would open Pandora’s box. COVID-19, PAN & HOW TO PRAY
PANDEMIC, PANGOLIN, PANDEMONIUM, PAN BUT BE CAREFUL HOW WE PRAY LEST WE ARE FOUND OPPOSING GOD

Pandemic, pangolin, pandemonium, panic, Pan. What do all these have in common – a false god called Pan who creates panic. But let’s come back to that.

When there is a crisis, before praying we need to ask ourselves if this comes from God or not. According to tradition, Gamaliel succeeded his father, Simon, and his grandfather, the renowned sage Hillel to be president of the Sanhedrin, the supreme Jewish court. Gamaliel intervened on behalf of the Apostles of Jesus when they had been arrested and brought before the Sanhedrin. Interestingly we find later in Acts 22:3 that Apostle Paul was a student of Gamaliel. But what Gamaliel said has been ringing in my mind for some time as being critical to how we pray in a crisis. He said that we don’t want to find ourselves opposing God:
“But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.” (Acts 5:39).

DAVIDIC ANOINTING: COVID-19 TO DOVID-19

I sensed the Lord was saying that it is a Davidic anointing that will deal with the Covid-19. The Lord gave me Dovid-19 and a number of scriptures where He highlighted chapter 19. Barbara pointed out that Dovid is the Jewish (Yiddish) spelling for David. I believe that the Lord is using this virus to wipe out some of the Saul-like structures in the church and take us back to the heart of David, the harp and bowl ministry and house churches.

When Barbara and I hosted the 3-day Australia Day Prayer in Canberra this year, the Lord led me to prophecy over the ACT and Canberra delegates that the Lord wanted them to model the church in the book of Acts. I could see them meeting in house churches across the city and multiplying. Acts 15:13-19 also talks about the Tabernacle of David which raises up prayer, praise and worship, Godly justice, the government of God and Jew and Gentile worshipping together. I saw this as a blueprint that would then spread out from Canberra, the head of the nation, around Australia.

The Lord gave me these scriptures at the Australia Day Prayer we hosted in Canberra. One was Ex 20:20, where Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you” so we need not be afraid of this testing time with the coronavirus.

Rev Dr George Annadorai asked me before Hanukkah for a message for 24/7 worship and the Tabernacle of David in Singapore and this is what the Lord gave me. Blessings to Apostle George and Mano and the people of Singapore and Asia generally.

Ps Norman’s message on “Change is Gonna Come” or “Change is in the Air” is timely and will bless you. The scripture he based it on is Daniel 2:21-23:

“He controls the times and the seasons; he makes and unmakes kings; it is he who gives wisdom and understanding. He reveals things that are deep and secret; he knows what is hidden in darkness, and he himself is surrounded by light. I praise you and honour you, God of my ancestors. You have given me wisdom and strength; you have answered my prayer and shown us what to tell the king.”
