REPENTANCE FROM A CHRISTIAN LEBANESE STANDING IN THE GAP FOR ARAB NATIONS FOR THE EXILE AND THEFT OF 850,000-900,000 JEWS FROM ARAB LANDS IN 1948 AND ONWARDS

As a Born-Again Christian Lebanese from my father’s side and Syrian from my mother’s side, I stand in the Gap, and I ask forgiveness on behalf of my Government and other Phoenicians and Arabic nations.

I also repent on behalf of all Lebanese, Syrians and other Arabic nations the way have treated the Jews and stole their properties and inheritance.

After the establishment of Israel in 1948, many Arab governments enacted policies that led to confiscation of Jewish property, revocation of citizenship, and forced exile. Hundreds of thousands of Jews from Iraq, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Libya, and other nations were displaced, often leaving behind homes, businesses, and cultural heritage that had existed for centuries.

A repentance prayer or declaration on behalf of those governments, here’s a structured draft you could adapt for your prayer guides or communal use:

Acknowledgment of Wrongdoing
We acknowledge before God and history that Jewish communities in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Egypt, and across the Arab nations were unjustly stripped of their homes, properties, and livelihoods. They were uprooted from lands where they had lived for generations, contributing to culture, commerce, and society.

Confession of Sin
We confess the sins of theft, injustice, and expulsion committed by governments and authorities who denied Jewish people their rightful place and dignity. We recognize the pain caused by these actions, both to individuals and to the collective Jewish people.

Repentance and Turning
On behalf of these nations, we repent for the arrogance, hatred, and violence that led to such grievous wrongs. We turn away from the spirit of antisemitism and hostility, and we ask for forgiveness from the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Appeal for Healing
We pray for healing of historical wounds, restoration of dignity, and reconciliation between Jews and Arabs. May the injustices of the past be redeemed by acts of justice, mercy, and truth in the present and future.
Commitment to Change

We commit to stand against antisemitism in all its forms, to Honor the Jewish people, and to seek peace and blessing between nations.

We intercede and Pray for modern Arab governments to acknowledge past wrongs and pursue reconciliation.
•            Declare: Speak blessing over Jewish communities worldwide, especially those who were displaced.
•            Stand: Commit to resisting antisemitism in all its forms and to honouring the Jewish people.
•            Release: Proclaim Isaiah 61:7 — “Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance.”

Closing Blessing
May the God of peace heal ancient wounds, redeem stolen inheritances, and release His blessing over both Jews and Arabs. May nations be transformed by His justice and mercy.

God’s Voice Shakes the Desert by Ps Norman Miller, Tabernacle of David Cairns

Whose voice are we listening to? There are conflicting and confrontational voices on the streets and in the media. We need to train ourselves to hear the still small voice of God. Our nation is at a crossroads. We need to be on the road leading to eternity and the cross. However, God’s voice can thunder as well. I believe God is going to do a lot of shaking in the centre of Australia, in the desert. Psalm 29:3,4 & 8 says:

3 “The voice of the Lord is over the waters; The God of glory thunders; The Lord is over many waters.
4 The voice of the Lord is powerful; The voice of the Lord is full of majesty…..
8 The voice of the Lord shakes the desert” I believe we need a decree for Alice Springs near the centre of Australia because of the crime, alcohol problems, child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, youth wandering the streets to avoid dysfunctional family situations etc.

This is The Australian newspaper 30.1.23 which covers some of the issues at Alice Springs and some concerns with the Voice. There has been much discussion for and against the Voice. The proposal is to have a referendum around July to change the constitution to insert an Indigenous voice to Parliament. Unfortunately, the voices of elected federal members of parliament for the Alice Springs area, coalition senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price and ALP MP Marion Scrymgour warned about the current issues in Alice Springs and their voices have been ignored even though they are on opposite sides of politics and have a bipartisan position on this.

Uluru, the heart of Australia – 2Chron 7:14 – If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

DECREE RE GOD’S VOICE SHAKES THE DESERT

We decree that Australia, including the Aboriginal people of Australia, will hear the voice of God rather than ungodly voices. We decree for Alice Springs and the desert areas of Australia, that God’s voice will shake the desert as in Psalm 29 and His voice will shake them out of ungodly thoughts and practices to worship Him as the only true God. We decree that the desert tribes will serve the God of the Bible and the enemies of God will be defeated. We decree Psalm 72:9:

“May the desert tribes bow before him
and his enemies lick the dust.”

We decree that God’s people will choose the kind of fasting that pleases Him according to Isaiah 58:
⁶“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:
to loose the chains of injustice
and untie the cords of the yoke,
to set the oppressed free
and break every yoke?”

We decree that as Alice Springs loosens the chains of injustice and breaks off every yoke, the Lord will turn the sun-scorched land into a well-watered garden. We decree
^11 “The Lord will guide you always;
he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land
and will strengthen your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
like a spring whose waters never fail.”

We decree that lives and institutions that have been ruined will be healed and rebuilt as they come to know the Lord and broken lives and families, homes and workplaces will be repaired. We decree that the streets of Alice Springs will hear the sound of singing, laughter, and joy. We decree that the people will have enough to eat, their needs will be met and they will have safe homes to sleep in and safe, nurturing relationships.
^{12 “}Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins
and will raise up the age-old foundations;
you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls,
Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.”

We decree the land and people in Alice Springs and the central desert of Australia will respond to God’s voice and be glad and the land will bring forth streams in the desert as in Isaiah 35:1, & 6-7:
¹“The desert and the parched land will be glad;
the wilderness will rejoice and blossom. Like the crocus,”
^6-7 “For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert. The parched ground shall become a pool; and the thirsty land, springs of water.”

We decree the water of God’s Holy Spirit will flow over Alice Springs and the central desert of Australia as in Isaiah 48:21:
“They did not thirst when he led them through the deserts;
he made water flow for them from the rock;
he split the rock and water gushed out.”

We decree and sing to Alice Springs and the town camps around it and the central desert of Australia “Spring up, O well! Yes, sing its praises!” (Numbers 21:16-18)
