"The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;
the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace."
Numbers 6:24-26.
Our heart and prayers go out to the Jewish community in Israel and worldwide on the anniversary of the Oct 7 massacre.

3RD ANNIVERSARY OF OCTOBER 7
On November 2025, Barbara and Norman sadly visited the Nova Sukkot music festival site in Israel where 378 young people, mostly civilians, were cruelly murdered, tortured and raped on October 7 2023. Also, 44 were taken hostage. Hamas, Palestinian Jihad and Gazan civilians videod themselves with glee on the killing spree. The families have put heart-rending memorials to their loved ones all over the site.
We travelled down route 232 which runs parallel to the Gaza Strip. It became the frontline during the Hamas attack with Israelis killed while fleeing. The bomb shelters along the road became scenes of death. We visited Be'eri and Kfar Aza kibbutz who were among the hardest hit communities with immense loss of life, kidnapping and destruction of buildings. Israelis expressed gratitude that we cared.
Overall, 1200 were killed - men, women, children, elderly, Holocaust survivors, mostly civilians and some foreign nationals. Gazans took captive 251 people, 87 of them returned deceased after living in horrible conditions of assault including rape, starvation and being shot. The final living hostages were released on 13 October 2025 and the last bodies returned on 26 January 2026. Israel has been falsely blamed for responding to this attack to rescue its citizens and prevent another massacre.
It his hard to understand how humans can do this to other humans. It is also hard to understand how many people around the world, including in Australia, celebrated this cult of death and still do.
Israel was fighting for its very survival against an enemy who wanted to entirely eliminate it and Jewish people from the face of the earth. But we know God's plan of redemption for the whole of humanity comes through the Jewish people He established as a nation to bring forth the scriptures, Messiah Jesus and the throne Jerusalem on which Jesus will return to sit and reign.

Pinnacle Pocket 100th anniversary
Ps Shirley Miller on the right cutting the 100th anniversary cake with elders at Pinnacle Pocket Bethel church 3.10.26. This is a church that came into revival when pastors from the Welch revival brought it with them in the 1920's. Indigenous pastors and evangelists came out of this revival and church and spread across Australia.
Norman's mother, Ps Shirley, remembers the tarry meetings, miracles and awesome spiritual atmosphere. Over 170, mostly Indigenous Christians, attended the gala lunch and 4 day meetings.

NDIGENOUS FRIENDS OF ISRAEL INTERNATIONAL ZOOM SEMINAR
TOPIC: What Would William Cooper Do Today Re Antisemitism?
This seminar has been timed because the anniversary of Kristallnacht 9-10 Nov is coming up and William Cooper's protest of Dec 6 is coming up. William Cooper and the Yorta Yorta people knew what discrimination was like and they had the moral clarity to call out antisemitism and stand up for Jewish people, just as many Indigenous people in Australia do today. What would he do if he lived today? And what should we do?
SPEAKER: John Briggs, a Yorta Yorta Aboriginal leader is the great nephew of William Cooper who led a protest against Kristallnacht, the start of the Holocaust in 1938. Cooper led the Australian Aborigines’ League to the German Consulate in Melbourne in protest. John has distinguished himself with being a key player in the formation of Intract Indigenous Contractors in 2010 of which he is director. He sits on the board of South Australian Native Title Services. And he is proud of his great uncle's legacy.
DATE AND TIME: Monday 26 October 6.30-8pm Brisbane or UTC + 10

The Resilience Blueprint: A Guide for Jewish Parents Raising Confident, Resilient Children in the Face of Antisemitism
By Barbara Miller
If you have a Jewish friend looking for practical tools, encouragement, and a positive path forward for their family, this guide is for you. It will have some tips for other parents too re resilience.
Most importantly, this guide offers hope. It reminds parents and children alike that while antisemitism is real, it does not define who they are. Jewish identity is bigger than prejudice. Jewish history is richer than hatred. And resilience can be learned, strengthened, and passed on to the next generation.
The Four Pillars of Jewish Resilience: Community, Family, Faith & Culture, and Heritage & Contribution
When to seek additional support
Practical ways to build confidence and resilience
Strategies for handling online harassment
How to work effectively with schools
What to do when a child is targeted or excluded
Ways to build Jewish pride without creating fear
How to talk to children about antisemitism at different ages
Inside you'll discover:
Written by Barbara Miller, B.A. (Hons Psychology), Grad Dip Sociology, the guide combines insights from psychology, sociology, Holocaust education, and contemporary experience to help families respond constructively to antisemitism while strengthening resilience, identity, and wellbeing.
A free resource, the Resilience Blueprint provides practical, compassionate, and evidence-informed guidance for parents navigating these difficult questions.
Jewish parents today are facing challenges that many hoped belonged to the past. Children are encountering antisemitism at school, online, in sport, and sometimes even in places where they should feel safest. How do we protect them without frightening them? How do we build confidence instead of anxiety? How do we help them develop a strong Jewish identity in a world that can sometimes feel hostile?

Antisemitism Support and Action
Barbara Miller is an author, historian, teacher, sociologist and former psychologist and has just founded a community on Skool.
After the Holocaust of 6 million Jews and others including gypsies, political opponents, homosexuals and the disabled, the world said “Never Again”. However we have seen it again on Oct 7 2023 where 1200 Isaelis were horrifically killed, at Bondi Beach Australia where 15 mostly Jews were massacred and incidents around the world with calls to Globalize the Intifada.
So we now have a situation where antisemitism has grown like a monster that is tearing apart the social fabric of many nations including Australia, destroying the multicultural dream with divisive rhetoric and hateful actions, challenging the values our peaceful democracies were built on and traumatising Jews in Israel and around the world who just want to live their lives in peace and contribute to a better world.
Not only that, antisemitism has morphed from the ancient fear of difference and envy and scapegoating of the Jews for the world’s problems to the race-based worldview of the Nazis during World War 2 that Jews were inferior to Aryans to the current variety.
We now have the shocking inversion of Jews being falsely accused as Nazis and antisemitism masquerading as acceptable, even proud antizionism or criticism of Israel’s policies and right to exist. Not content to genocide Jews they want to genocide Israel from the river to the sea. And globalize their war on Jews.
So now, instead of the Nazis, we have what has been called a “horseshoe” coalition of marxists on the left, fascists on the right and radical Islamists, with little in common except their hatred of Jews and their desire to brand and run the world in their image.
So I have developed this community to:
· Increase awareness and provide educational materials both historic and current
· Create a community where discussion and support can occur
· Provide comfort and support for the Jewish community and others who feel grief at the state of affairs we are in and
· Encourage and equip upstanders or people of principle who want to make a difference in dealing with this scourge of antisemitism. You can join HERE
You can also find a low cost well-researched course here on the Holocaust and Antisemitism. If you would like to know more, see HERE
